Installing Budget Boost on WJ

I'm ordering the 2" Budget Boost w/ shocks for my WJ

I want to know if I should take it somewhere and have someone else install it or if this is doable. I have fair amount of experience when it comes to mechanical work, but little to none exprience in suspension for cars.

I would love to have someone here who has installed this lift on their jeep give me advice. Thanks.

Im 18 and I put on my 4in lift by myself so im sure you could do a budget boost. Its best to have someone give you a hand though.

Just take your time, read the instructions and spray pb blaster on every bolt you have to remove. That will make them come off a lot easier.

When I did my BB, I read the instructions at least 15 times and ended up doing the install in my apartment parking lot. It isn't difficult, don't get frustrated and post up any problems.

if you're worried about removing the front shocks you're on the right track ratcheting wrenches, vise grips, and a helper make them a lot easier to deal with.

I did mine myself in about 4 hours. Get spring compressor first and if you dont need it then great but its alot better than walking to rent one because your jeeps in peices haha.

i didn't use a spring compressor. i just let the axle drop. Be careful with the spring compressor mess that up and getting hit with a coil sucks.

The only time I needed it was passenger side up front. the axel just wouldnt droop enough. Otherwise if you jack up the oppisite side your working on it will lower the side your trying to work on.

Socket set, pb blaster, jack stands, and floor jack are the only things necessary (If im missing something correct me). Spring compressors are a good idea to have though even though you may not use them.
