I would say around $9k is top of the market for that. Then you have to find someone who can't live without it.

Is there a gold bar in the glove box!? If yes then possibly if not ....well.........

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got yourself an electrical problem!

Yes that is way over priced for that. What that guy is asking is probely half of what a brand new grand cherokee would cost. Bluebook value and nada value are only about $6000 top, most of the parts he replaced are more Maintenance and not upgrade. They dont add value the keep it the same. The only thing that i can see that may add value is the stereo but no more then $1000. A fair price should be around $7000.

I am pretty sure that I looked at this ZJ a couple of years ago, it sure is nice, and is what he says it is in the ad.

I bought a '96 5.2 in '98 with about 30k miles for $20k. I would not pay over $6k for that vehicle.

It doesn't even have a working air conditioner? For $17k it better have the ability to fly. Even with upgrades, at best it might be worth $7k to someone who really, really wants a 5.9 in pristine condition. But they'd best get the AC in order. I never trust a vehicle where people cut corners. If it's your pet project where you're trying to make everything as good or better than new, why leave the AC non-operational? I'm just thinking of the type of built Jeep you can buy for that kind of money. I've seen some really great, monster builds on JF with newer models as the base, and they weren't even going for that!
