I feel so bad

I hit a really big owl,I didn't see it just heard a thud and saw a brief wing on the passenger side on the way home trying to fix my jeep it was still alive so I called my dad and he took it to a vet I hope it lives.

It was a great horned owl if anybody was wondering. Is it illegal to kill an owl? if it wasn't my fault could I still get a fine or jail time I mean I really couldn't see the thing when I hit it, it flew below the hood of my jeep and it was pitch black out.

That sucks. Accidentally hitting an animal won't put you in jail. Now, if you accidentally hit an animal at the zoo, you might be in for some trouble...

Bald eagle?? Wow!

I've hit plenty of critters. I always hate when a squirrel or a little chipmunk decides to end it all. Them and deer. Deer can leave behind some damage. Ask me how I know.

Like I said I did what most people wouldn't, to be honest when I hit it all I heard was a thud I really didn't see anything nor did I see anything coming at me for all I know it could have been a person and I wanted to know wtf just happened so I turned around to check and it was still alive looking at me I couldn't leave it there to suffer.
