Alright my track bar came in but my lift kit is on backorder to be shipped on the 28th. In the meantime I ordered some 35x12.50x17 BFG KM2s on some MB discount tire rims. Killer package that will look as good as it performs

So the lift kit came a couple of days ago. First impressions are this: Control arms = beef, springs = big and heavy, kit as a whole = win. Here it is in the back of my moms KJ awaiting installation next week.

If you look carefully, you will also see a new front driveshaft and somewhere in there is a SYE. The tires are also being shipped soon

Lift kit install is under way, here is a wrap up of today:

Started off by dropping the transfercase cross member and tapping in the cross member drop kit and front long arm mounts. After that we took the front and rear driveshaft off and set the hack n tap in place, but didnt fully install it. After that we disassembled the rear end, and got the whole rear end finished

Drop kit and front bracket:

Hack N Tap:

A-Arm Spacer:

Rear end finished:

Yea I am up there every now and again.

Well I ended up being able to work on it today and the lift is done minus a pitman arm, and the rear driveshaft. The tires are being shipped monday, and should be here thursday. Can't wait to wheel this thing

dont use that drop pitman arm unless you are going to run the IRO trackbar drop bracket too. otherwise your drag link and track bar will be out of parallel and cause steering issues. other than that it looks good man. My highschool XJ wasnt on that level. good work

Well I finally got the wheels and tires in. I have some wheel spacers on order so I am waiting on those to get in before I mount them:

And I took the front end off. Get ready for another full custom front bumper to add to the forum:

Trimming in the front:

Winch and custom built bumper:

And it is finished!

. Today was a productive day. It started out by hunting stockers:

Then I became very very very sick. I got Paintitis. Symptoms include paint covered hands, and the constant need to paint something. I like black and silver, so I blacked everything out. There is not a single bit of chrome on my Jeep now. Started masking everything:

Painted:

Also did the turn signals in lens tint:

Also painted the area behind the bumper black so it blends in and the fender wells black:

And here is how it sat at the end of the day:
