HELP, My coolant low light is on constantly.

I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee Limited Edition and the Coolant Low light was coming on when I start it, now it is on all the time and I have verified it is full. Any suggestions? I worry because I blew the engine last year and then a month later had to have something in 1 of the heads fixed. I take care of my baby but the mechanic insists it was because first I didnt put oil in it, then I let the radiator run dry. Neither are possible, I check it every time I get gas. I am afraid something major is going to blow again. What can cause the light to come on with a full radiator? Is there somewhere else I should look for coolant? The water pump seems to be working...

Your radiator might be full, but the coolant level sensor isn't in the radiator, it's in the coolant reservoir. Make sure that's full and that the sensor is connected. If the EVIC still reports low coolant, then you may need a new sensor.

Thank you! I will fill the reservoir and see what happens.
