Honestly the covers are my temporary solution to an *** load of ugly. I didnt want to focus on making it perform better and have people ask if im nuts for putting money into it.
Pics should be up in a few hours. So far things arnt looking good. Running on like 4 hours of sleepand monster.

just an fyi to any grammar nazi's, i use the jeep forum app on my droid alot so if i miss spell sumthing or it dosnt sound right its because of that.
i should be able to pick up the bumper tomorrow. the sides were sticking out to far for my liking so he's going to move them in. then also the back hatch was touching a little so he's fixing that to. over all it went pretty smooth! did i mention he has a plasma cutter
started with this
cover off
bumper mocked up
hopefully its bolted on by sunday!

Who did you say is doing your bumpers (and how much is he charging you)? It looks pretty good. As of right now, I'm planning on making my own, but it's still in the planning stages. I work with a woman who's father absolutely loves me, and happens to have a plasma cutter as well. He said I can use it whenever, so that's going to be a big help

Dave vanhouten. Hes also going to do the matching front and boatsides. He also made the sliders that i have now. Hes pretty much a metal genious.
As for price i paid $450

Rear's painted and on. Really thinking i might repaint it because i didn't wait long enough in-between coats so the clear coat kinda ate sum of the black. it looks spongy if that makes sense.
dont mind my messy cargo area! theres so much stuff rolling around back there right now its not even funny.
soon i want to get the matching front but its a bit more expensive.
I also orderd 8.8 brackets. the same guy that made my bumper is going to make and weld them on for me.

sitting here thinking i started to add up how much its going to cost for the 8.8 swap. either way the 8.8 i get will have disk breaks. also im already having a friend make up a 8.8 swap kit.
Option A
8.8 with 4.10's and limited slip - $225ish
hp30 - $100-175 (depend's on how sum friends of my dad's are feeling lol)
4.10 gearing and master kit for hp30 - $250ish
MM 8.8 swap kit - $200
Total - $800-$900
plus more if the hp30 need's to be rebuilt. ball joints, ect.
Option B
8.8 with 3.55 gear's - $175
MM 8.8 swap kit - $200
lunchbox locker- $400
total- $500ish
even then i think id be fine just welding the diff because id much rather drop the coin on a true locker because i know the carriers in the 8.8's are the weak spot.
8.8 brakets should be done in a few weeks. hoping to have the extra cash for the axel with in the next month. but right now the priority is tires and t-case swap!
