Grand Slam West (GSW) 2009!

Come one, come all, to Grand Slam West 2009.

GSW is an informal gathering of Grand Cherokee's that get together every summer in Moab. Everyone from stockers to buggies are welcome.
  • It is held June 5th through June 7th (Friday through Sunday).
  • It is for Grand Cherokee's only! That means ZJ's, WJ's, and WK's.
  • Due to new BLM rules (boooo) the event cost is $30 per vehicle this year. That covers permit fee's and insurance which is required for any organized event on BLM land. No money goes to any of the organizers!
  • There are some requirements (such as front & rear tow points, etc...) which can be found here: http://gsw.mallcrawlin.com/index_files/Requirements.htm
  • Check out http://gsw.mallcrawlin.com/ for more information
Once you're set on going, head on over to the registration site and register on there. Then once you send the money and send in your waiver, you are officially confirmed. http://71.196.249.124/GSW2009/Home.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

The benefit to having it a paying event this year, is that we no longer have a 50 vehicle limit as we have had in the past!

Any questions?

The event is very friendly. It is a great opportunity to see Moab and wheel in a VERY unique part of the country, which due to ever tightening legislation, gets reduced every year. Eventually it'll go away completely

Oh, and it is largely organized on Mallcrawlin on the GSW subforum: http://www.mallcrawlin.com/forum//forumdisplay.php?f=65

So, come on out!

-Ryan

well i will/am certainly thinking about it. but with having to work to pay for school and summer being my biggest time (ac in central texas summers = big overtime) i would take a hit.

im seriously thinking about it though and i have lots of time to mull it over still. but i do want to go!
