Its going to be hard to get a firm comittment from people that far in advance (Almost a year from now, most won't commit till a month or two before anyway). Especially with the economy and another election between now & then. Most events I see posted are usually 2-3 months out unless it is something that is held annually, then that is a given. The firm comittments from most will be 1-2 months before the event. 6 months should be plenty of time to put this together, and more likely for people to have the funds to do it right after income tax time.
Just my 2 cents worth, and speaking from previous experience planning events like this.

I figure we shoot for or meet in December, see what kind of turnout we have, take lots of pics for people to see and get more of a feel for how everything will work.
Start small and go bigger, even if we have to do a few smaller events to build to a big one, all that means is more wheeling.
I don't think that really any of us have much experience with this, so we all will have to work together and try to stay organized.
Start simple and build. Right?

That would be real cool, I'm still haven't seen their flairs on a wj with stock bumpers.
I'm still trying to round up some more people, but seeing as how we don't have anyone new posting here yet, I guess I'm not doing so good.

Nov 14th, I think that's the same due date of my friends baby. Congrats man

Got a good lead on lsjc today.

Might not be just grands but I sure think we could have a great turnout if they joined our group.

If the meet in Dec. is a go, you need to post it up in the event section and let everyone know the purpose of that run. There really hasn't been much feedback on this post probably because there hasn't been anything set in stone.
As far as I go, I don't know that I'll be able to make the Dec meet, I have Texas Mile this month, KOH @ Texana Ranch in Nov, then Christmas vacation. If ya'll get an event date set for next year, hopefully it won't conflict with any of my other events next year.

I've been posting and telling everyone Dec 15th, sounded like it would work for most.

What would yall think if we incorporated a fundraiser when we do our main event?
Not sure who we could give the benefits to, but I'm sure we could find plenty of good ones.
Hopefully we can pick up some people who have held such events to give us a hand.

And has everyone marked the calendar for Dec 15th? Still a good date for the pre-run?
