Quick question, and I don't mean to sound like a negative nancy, but how many people do you guys think we have on board with this thus far? It doesn't seem like we're getting any kind of commitment from participators, but maybe I'm wrong.

I was kinda thinking the same thing. It's always just us posting in here. I was gonna talk to some of our Sponsors about advertising it. If people see big names, they see our event. Hell we could have GC's and XJ's from surrounding states.

Hard to say for sure at the moment. It's hard to get people to commit to something 6 or so months away.
If we all work at getting the word out and keep getting vendors on board I think we could do ok.
Of course this will be the first year to do this and none of us have much experience in putting something like this together. It will be a bit tricky, but I think its very doable.
Talked with Camp from cop4x4 and he said he would help us promote on his Facebook page.
And I think as long as we invite the Cherokee crowd as well we could have a good turn out.
Don't lose hope, we all just got to keep putting effort into this and I think it will work out.

**** I'm not losing hope. I'm staring at an unopened box of bushwacker WJ flares. This event will succeed.

I'm up for that one or Oct 12-14.

Columbus day is the 14th (Monday) so that will give people time to travel and they won't feel rushed out Sunday afternoon. Idk food for thought.

I like your thinking. I also like pushing it a little further out and letting it cool off some.

Oct 12-14 will work except i will be stuck at work, and i cant get out of it even if put in for it this far in advance. even if i could get out of it i would still not be able to make up the lost time on my paycheck.

swept 7-8 sept 21-22 oct 5-6 oct 19-20

here is an idea a friend of mine is from arizona and he keeps raving about a event they have there called a spook rally. its a combination of games and trails. for example one of the games they have is an obstacal course where the driver is blind folded and the passanger gives the directions on how to complete to course. another game is everyone starts out with a multiple answer question. each answer has a different milage/direction that you drive to the next clue. after several clues you end up where you are supposed to be and win what ever.
i have never been but it seems like it would be a lot of fun.
