hey man i was thinking about doing 32x11.50x15 inch tires and 15 inch (5x5) eagle alloy wheels on my wj but ive been told by several people that you cant put 15 inch wheels on a wj. i'm assuming that they are wrong since you have 15 inch cragers? ha im just confused

Like Apollo said, mine are steel wheels which means the lip is thinner which is what gives me the clearance to run them. Also, the steel wheels need to have 4" of backspacing or less (so 3.75 for ex.).

With that being said, I have seen a few guys fit a 15" alloy over the caliper without any mods but I'm not sure what is different with those wheels than others. Could always test fit one wheel and see.

Hopefully that helps you out some.

On a build thread note:

Progress is slow on the WJ. Right now on layaway is claytons front and rear long arms and KOR suspension seats. Still have a way to go to pay those off.

Taking a while because the CJ just got some new stuff and still trying to get it on the road. Just need to find time to work on it. And saving up for a tow rig/DD so trying not to buy jeep parts right now.

Ya, we just wanted you to get to test out the gears and locker somewhere and I can't remember the guys name in the white WJ but he just powered through it. That was awesome. lol

But I regret not doing it but there is always another time.

i can guide through it.. i've seen it done many times and rode up it once... not to hard if you listen to your spotter... but to do it properly most guys will scrap their right rear corner / taillights...

Funny, I'm running 15x8 D window cragars with 5" backspacing & 32 x 11.50 x 15's...........point being, The BS you mentioned isn't quite right.
