Thanks. So far I love it. I turn it around backwards when I wheel. That way any branches or brush just roll over it.

Dont know. Dont think so. Dont have any loss of power. Never really kept track of mpg. Dont wanna scare myself my calculating it. 6" lift,33's, half doors, lots of extra weight, roof rack, offroad lights and loss of aerodynamics. I'm sure its around 15. But the fun is worth it.

On another note. Finishing up a remodel of my kitchen so should be back to working on the jeep this weekend.

Alright kitchen remodel done. Back to work on the jeep.

Got the supports cut and drilled. Spindle support welded on and 2x4 cut and welded onto supports.

Also started rust busting the gas tank skid. Drilled out he spot welds and separated the brackets from the skid. Lots of rust between them. Will weld them back together when I shorten the skid. The hold down straps were rusted pretty bad. Wire brushed them and metal etch primed them and put several layers of Rustoleum on them.

Pressure washed the tank to get the mud and dirt off.

I need to get started on something resembling a rear bumper/tire carrier. Looks like a good start! What are you going to do with the hole in the floor?

Thanks. Should be able to work on the hoop and latch tomorrow. I have a piece of 12 steel to cover the hole. Gunna weld it in and cut an access hole for the fuel pump in case I need to get to it in the future.

Got the hoop done for the spare tire carrier and supports for the gas cans. Gotta run to the scrap yard tomorrow and get a 1 1/2 x ? for the tire support. Also see if they have any round plate laying around. If not I'll cut a triangle from the 1/4 plate I have.

Used my plasma cutter for the first time today. Made the plate for the tire holder. Cuts like butter, but you need a steady hand.
