Frenchy's Build

I've had my jeep for a few months now and thought it would be time to show what ive done to it and thing i will do...in 1 thread. It is a slow build hehe...money wise its kinda expansive...but i do my best with what my job brings me lol.

Bought it in may 2009...03' grand cherokee laredo 150,000km bone stock except for a 2'' BB that the previous owner had put on it.









Also some 17'' jeep wheels and 245/65/17 Hancook Dynapro

First couple things i did when i got it was :

Change engine oil : castrol synthec 5w30
Change transfer case oil : that mopar transmission fluid atf-4 i think
Change Diff fluids : Quaker state synthec 75/140 front and rear

Then came the yakima roof basket...got it half price from one of my goo friend...he bought it new and didnt liked the look on his tacoma...so he sold it to me for a good price.

Few months had passed...and i wanted some better tires '' a decision i later regreted because of the lift'' so i bought 4 toyo open country a/t 245/65/17

2 months ago...i decided it was time to raise it a few inches...i've been looking on this site for a few months and i decided to go with IRO 4'' critical path. The jeep is my daily driver but i also wheel it once in a while...and i wanted something with a nice suspension travel. Got the critical path high clearence version front long arm only...for now and opted for the doetch tech 8000 shocks.

Took the jeep for his first drive in the wood shortly after the lift was intalled...saw this ramp and though i would try to see what kind of travel i was getting...prior to that i went to the store and bought a few things to old my front sway bar while it was disconnected.

for 20$...its really not fancy haha...but it sure works great.

I had a shop do most of the work...i was still there to help and see what was being done to it...i dont have a garage and didnt want to install the lift in the snow haha

really like them...the drive is really good...the only thing i would do different would be getting some better shocks...those 8000 rides kinda stiff...and im blaming them for a ''clunk'' i have in the rear...still not 100% sure but pretty sure its the rubber bushing that doesnt fit properly on the sleeve or something...

Here is a few pictures of the new tire...BF Mud Terrain km2 265 70 17 in size.

I have no rubbing on flat ground...but when i flex it they rub on the rear plastic fender...and on the front plastic trim when the wheels are turned...i will have to cut a little...minor minor trimming.

Here are a few pictures i took at the camp last weekend, this is how the jeep looks now.
