You should go to 4.56 instead

ok... im gonna be completely honest... everyone makes fun of XJ's.... but i think the same about WJ's... i read this thread thinking "psh... nobody really builds a wj into anything decent..." but... i think your jeep looks hella nice... really nice lift and good taste with the apearance... you just changed my mind about WJ's...

4.5in RE superflex lift, 32's, custom bumpers under construction...

I think 4.56 is a better choice than 4.10's, going to a 4.10 is just a waste of money.
Good job on your build.

grakee99, any particular reason for 4.56s instead of the 4.10s? i may only be doing a 32" tire after this winter, and i do ALOT of street driving

semperfismhs, actually it was a bit closer to 700 all said and done, i left out the rear sway bar links for the time being, the rear swaybar practically does nothing anyways, and i also left out the rear a-arm spacer... maybe that would have been a better addition to my lift though...

famous1688, glad to hear it! i personally dont mind xj's at all. i know someone nearby that has a HUGE xj with 38 inch tires and 1-ton axles, personally i love the thing, also another one of my friends has an xj and ill admit i used to make fun of it, but he's building it into something nice as well right now

I would do 4.56's with the 4.0 as well. With 32's you're going to be at higher rpm's on the highway but with 33's-35's you'll be much better off with 4.56's vs 4.10's. So its a planning for the future type of idea.

However if you plan on swapping out the axles in the future, then the 4.10's are a better match up for the 32's. But if thats the case I wouldn't bother...its not worth doing the regear for what you will gain.

thanks steve l. that wasnt my hand though haha

nierace, 33's would be the absolute LARGEST tire my jeep will see anytime in the near future, especially with these axles, and i dont think it'll be seeing the 33's for much longer

Guess steve wouldnt stand under the tire then either ?

(AprilzWarrior)

I wouldn't bother re-gearing for 32's then, I'd save my money for other stuff

If you stick with 33's or decide to go with 33's in the future, then go for it. 4.10's will definately help but I believe most of the guys with 4.0's prefer 4.56's + 33's +

So it's possible to leave out the rear swatbar links and be alright? It would be nice saving 70 bucks there. Reason I'm asking is because I'm doing the same lift.

Just throw your rear sway bar out its useless

You can leave your old ones but its going to limit your flex quite a bit.

It won't be wheeled until I get the rest of the parts to do the lift correctly, so flex isn't an issue as of yet. Sorry for the thread hijack.
