Yeah, I sold my 96 XJ with 48K original miles, RE superflex lift, 4.56 gears, etc, etc. and miss it every day.

yea i regret it...TJs and XJs seem alot more simpler than the WJ..my biggest complaint is the lack of any type of acceleration i should have done some research and waited for a V8 WJ...

I like my WJ (4.7L) for what it tries to be. But the terrible gas mileage, constant failures, and problems do make me regret the money it eats.

Since day 1 of ownership, I have not gone a week without a problem with the stupid thing.

Not at all. The more I drive different models cost much more I can't believe I only paid $10k for a premium 67k example. It acts like a range rover.

I regret trading in my 5 speed, 318 dakota on it. That thing was a blast. Maybe if I held out for a v8 WJ I would be happier (at least I wouldn't have blown a 42re and I'd have a 44a and 3.73s

I've never regretted owning my WJ. I do find my self wishing that I had a LJ (TJ the long one). That way I could store all the things I need and not have the heavy bogger that is the WJ. I wish my doors came off and wish that my top came off. But seeing as how no one wants my WJ for 12,000 (i over priced the hell out of it) I'll stick with the WJ. And no I dont regret it.

I like the WJ. Its a nice Jeep. I have only had mine for a few months though. I have already replaced the Blend Doors and what not, but other than that it has been awesome. Did great towing and when I took it off road. Couldn't ask for much else. As long as it runs like it does now for a while I will be happy.

Not really, I sometimes miss my LJ and my previous YJ but then I remember how my back didn't like them after a while. I like the power my WJ has over the LJ but miss the top down doors off fun the LJ was. Too bad that darn thing couldn't get out of it's own way (even with the 6spd).

I also like all of the creature comforts of my WJ in DC traffic. It's roomier than my LJ (I can carry a lot more stuff) and way more comfortable for long trips. The downsides of the WJ, bad gas mileage (but it's a Jeep so what is good gas mileage), not tall enough (See worse gas mileage if I lift it).

That being said, a buddy of mine just bought another TJ and it has me thinking about my LJ again. LOL

second guessing

I have 04 gc 4.7 and jk unlimited. I don't see how you can compare the two. gc is total luxury, pretty good power and very comfortable. The jk is ok on long trips but lethargic power. I would be hard pressed to say which is better offfroad, assuming they are modded equally. I am a fan of quadra drive capability yet i know others that feel it reduces skill level in off roading. as far as mpg, for what we drive, i think it is acceptable.

Nah my wj had treated me really well. Iv put over 40,000 on mine since I bought it at 86,000. And my only issue has been a drive shaft u joint and 1 lock actuator. So not bad at all

I don't regret my ZJ of course i only paid $700 for it and have been driving it over a year now. The bigest repair so far was changing a water pump. I sometimes wish i had a wrangler, but then i think about all of the stuff i sometimes fill the cargo area with. I do constantly wish for a v8 to magically appear under the hood though.

nah but I regret paying so much for it ..24k half a year ago(thats the normal price here and it is a WG) but it has the merc engine in it so it will run forever and I get approx 27-30 mpg so no complaints there. I travel a lot and it is a great cruiser with enough get go for me.

But it is a little small for me (6'6) on the inside
