I'm wondering if thats transmission oil in the coolant or what? Hopefully someone can chime in, I have noticed no difference in my engine oil situation.

Smelt terrible lol, Can't really remember much more than that. Doesn't look good though.
Im debating painting my wiper blade cladding/cowl and gas tank skid in that truck bed liner... I love the dry grit to it.

Well - Im going to change the water pump... As i think thats what the overheating is, when I run with the heat blasting I stay right around 210-220.
Got back from uwharrie, had a blast. Only ran Dutch John and Daniel trail though. Heres some carnage photos and a teaser, should have more photos middle of next week when someone from the group posts them.
Made it back in one piece, without breaking anything:
Both the rocker panels took a beating, wish I had rock sliders..
Crossmember is a little beat up as well;
And of course, the D44a took a beating, I need to get a Skid+Truss...
Getting ready to run daniel 1st ledge (thats an FJ on 35s and coilovers);
And, a few shots more until I get the rest off the group

Picked up all 4 Drive Works (Advanced Auto) TREs and a new water pump for $75. The TREs all have greasable zerks and a lifetime warranty, so I figured it was worth saving some coin on a vehicle with 172k miles anyway.
Going to sand down the rockers and spray them with some truck bed liner to hide the trail damage, wish I had waited to get rock sliders, but oh well.

Decided to sell the BB as the ride was way too high for short arms, Going try and trim and get a low center of gravity with limited up travel and lots of droop. Considering cutting the BB in half or just picking up 3/4inch spacers. I wish IRO still had those 5.5" springs.
I'm thinking with lots of trimming, the teraflex springs with 3/4inch spacers will be more than enough for some 35s to get stuffed. I might as well just be sitting at 2inches of lift and a lot of trimming with the tires I have now (265/75r16)

There is one company that I know of that still makes 5.5 inch springs for the wj. They are motion off road progressive springs http://motionoffroad.com/catalog/ind...oducts_id=1105
I have not heard anything on whether or not they are any good or anything, just thought I would let ya know. I think the progressive coil seems pretty cool, if it actually works.

Thanks, didn't know anyone made those anymore. I'll have to check them out.
Anyone know what gauge wire the radiator electric fan is? The fan managed to cut the wire, I'd rather just extend the wire than replace the entire fan/motor.

Well... turns out my fan wires were also cut.... Except they were cut so close to the motor that I can't get a clean, reliable splice onto the 12ga wire. Damn. Torn between picking up a new motor for ~65 from advanced auto, or to just get a Taurus fan (which happens to be at best, more than 15 years old anyway).
I'm leaning towards the new motor unless anyone can convince me otherwise
Been going through a love hate thang with the jeep. Anyway, water pump install, pulled the e-fan, all new tie rod ends (haven't done pitman arm/drag link end yet) and put on my mallcrawlin sticker
Taking off bumper/grill/upper mounts whatever they're called
Draining.... water, again.
Probably the best part of my day was getting the fan clutch loose
Took out the fan clutch/secondary fan and shroud
Took off water pump and idler pulley (both will be replaced)
Got the new water pump on
New tie rod ends
And now, waiting for a remedy on the e-fan situation + sticker location (not crazy about it, but eh). Also adjusted the toe-in, waiting to for that last tie rod end / trading the BB for 3/4" pucks before i adjust the drag link, caster, and pinion.
Edit: forgot to add, I had to swap out my Rancho SS for the stock one as it was blown out and not really doing anything (can be seen in last 2 photos)
