Did you buy the plastic speedo gear? And being a bigger tire, almos 30.5" did your gas mileage go down?
It's going to throw off your speedometer and hurt your mileage.

According to my GPS.....at 65 it's off about 3 mph. I did not mess with the speedo gear. I have not checked my mileage since the new tires. Here is the most honest answer I know how to give regarding that. When I bought this thing I did a 4 hour (each way) road trip. I got almost 21mpg on the stock 15"225(whatever) tires. But honestly it was like days after buying it I didn't go over probably 65 the whole trip I mean it was new to me and I was really babying it. Since adding the wheels/tires gearing went up thus I can run 75 and the tach barely read 2,200. So I drive a little bit faster now and I can tell a difference in mileage, not huge but it's there. I also added the tire carrier basically same time which I've heard robs about 1mpg. If I had to guess I'd say on a trip I'm now getting 18-19.

I have my stocker tires 235/75/15 plus spare 245/70 I think. It got me to ntb without any issue or vc damage, let's just say that. So the spare has about 6 miles on it.

Anyway I got new tires in august, they have roughly 5k on them. Michelin LTX M/S. Plenty of tread life. I'd be down for trading rims/tires if you have any desire.

Sorry man I didn't see this or I would have responded earlier. Another member "torchd" was basically the first to respond and say he wanted them so we finally locked in all the details and met today in Louisville, Kentucky and swapped junk. He had a stubborn lug or 2 but nothing a local shop with an air wrench couldn't fix. I suppose this is the winding down of this build thread/project. I just want something newer, less miles, less money needing to be spent on fixing stuff and more on mods. Might start another Wrangler, maybe a much newer GC. Here are pics from our swap today. Torchd was a great guy to meet and I know the wheels, tires and roof rack will be enjoyed for years to come.

All the stuff swapped over to torchd's ride (a very nice GC by the way, ignore the salt stains):

And here is my stuff not looking quite as sweet:

Hey Wes it was really nice meeting up with you today. The wheels/tires and roof racks looks great on my car. I am VERY happy with it...

I did a little trimming on my front bumper.. What I really need to do is that the front wheels off and trim of just a little bit on the corners of the front bumper. What I trimmed tonight, if you turn the wheel left/right going forward nothing hits. But if you're in reverse and have the wheel turned left/right... Ummm yeah rubs like crazy.. Nothing like a sawzal won't fix

But again thanks for a killer deal. Glad after the 15 shops I called this guy was available. I am also glad the weather was nice. Sucked when I left Chicago this morning.. But Kentucky weather was nice

Take care

-Jonas

Sorry guys but the bumper is mine..... We are meeting up this weekend after a couple of weeks of planning. Wish I had know about those wheels and tires before they got gone but I know torchd will be loving them.

this looks awesome, subscribed for later when I have more time to read through it. Basically what i want to do to mine. When you refer to Kevins Spacers are you talking about kevins off road? I want spacers but i think 2" is too small and 3" would be too much. 2.25 sounds awesome!!!

You probably wouldn't even notice the difference between 2 and 2.25.
