Check this out all....
For you who were not already aware of this issue...we kinda have the Ford pintos of the 21st century ....although after the fact I added a trailer hitch to mine I feel safe enough...

Oh...don't get me wrong gc...I love my WJ...the only comparison was the gas tank "potential" issue.

Also...one of these might ad a little extra protection...

Holy crap! This is the third or fourth post today about this. Where are these people coming from? This comes up ALL THE TIME and goes nowhere. Chrysler already released their fix for this "problem". Its slab of steel on the drivers side next to the gas tank.

I dont get ya wrong. Your worried. Something like 3.5M vehicles and 51 incidents. Thats .0014572%. You will probably get struck by lightening 10 times or win the the powerball and lotto in the same week before this would affect you.

This is the third one on the front page of WJ Tech this evening. I'm moving them all to Grand General Discussion where they belong. With the other 345232542356 threads on the subject that pop up everytime the news has nothing better to report on.

Don't be afraid, wj guys... mines still in 1 piece, and I even kicked the rear bumper really hard one time. That was a scary moment.

hit it with a bfh and then ran the other way...just to see what would happen.

After an hour of hiding in the bushes across the street, I came back and nothing had leaked or exploded
