Did I say some thing wrong

So during my search for another WJ I came across a nice looking one but the price was high.I figured id call and see if I could talk him down. Before I could get a word in he starts going on and on about how great it is and how much work he has done to it. He finaly gets to the transfer case and says that he put some synthetic mobile one oil in it (not engine oil but don't remember what it was). I stopped him and asked how long he has been driving it with that oil, he told me about 50,000 miles when I asked him if the four wheel drive still worked, and explained why I asked he got pissed of and hung up on me. Did I step out of line?

If it was Mobil 424 tractor hydraulic oil it will be fine as that is approved by Jeep....any thing else....well, you know the rest!

You questioned his jeep intelligence, so he got offended. I'd just find another Jeep.

well i doubt it, 50k is a lot, i would have thought it would have died by now if it was going to?

either way, you would probably worry about it so best that you left it

He was nice to me. Lol I went straight to the transmission and transfer case. He's like I use all synthetic in everything. He said he used 80-90 lube.... I asked if he used atf +4 and he said he did. I asked if it was the 247 transfer case, there was a long pause and said whatever is the awd is. I said yeah that's it. Then I hung up.
