I have work in an hour so at the moment, they aren't wired up and I don't have time. But I'm def going to get around that soon. and to answer your question, they dont because they're not wired yet ![]() Quote:

I trimmed my front bumper earlier today and it came out nice. Pics will be up tomorrow.
Story Time - So ever since I bought the ZJ (approx. 3-4 weeks ago), the transmission has been funny and when I first drive the truck after it cools down and sits for several (about 7, 8) hours, 2nd gear likes to be very sticky. It'd stick until I let go of the gas, which then I have to press the "overdrive off" button, to make it upshift into 3rd. It would go away after driving for bout 20 min or so, BUT will still happen once in awhile. the previous owner told me to just keep the fluid topped off and do not get it serviced, otherwise I'll just have more problems. I said in my first post of this thread how I found a tranny for 300, which I was going to install today. Not really completely thinking, both me and my mechanic never checked to see if the trans were the same. I picked up a 95 ZJ 5.2L V8 and the seller told me theyre the same. My mechanic ended up taking out my original trans, then noticed how short it looked. All of the plugs and the tail end were different. Soooo I ended up not switching the trans. instead, we replaced the transfer case fluid, transmission filter, gasket, and fluid, and got a new U-joint in my front drive shaft. We test drove it, and it went nice. My mechanic said it's most likely an electrical problem (cellaniod) and not mechanical. Said all of the gears are there and they seem perfectly fine. Ever since I left the shop, the trans has shifted perfectly fine and I'm hoping it's not because the truck was warm all day. It still didn't stick or slip at all which would happen even if the truck was warm, so I'm hoping it is fixed. and btw, the guy who sold me the trans IS giving me a refund, thankfully (i do work for him, so I would hope he would). if the trans is fixed, thats another 300 towards my lift/rims/tires/etc. ![]() Also, does anyone have any "L Brackets" that held on the stock fog lights from maybe a Limited or any L brackets they would mind mailing me so I can make my Hella's more stable ? thanksss

glad you got a refund man! What color was your fluid when you changed it??? Did you get the torque converter drained? I would recommend doing the fluid change again in about 10,000 or 15,000 miles if the old fluid was really old and burnt (if you didn't do the torque converter). That way you can rotate more new fluid into the converter. I need to do mine again, but i'm just going to wait to switch it all to amsoil.

Here's some pictures of the trimmed bumper, and I also wired my Hella's today
![]() I'll take some pictures later with the lights on. ![]() ![]() ![]() and I put the switch to the right and a little down of the stereo. one of the very few places to put it. But it looks real clean, and it has an LED in it so I kno if the switch is in the "on" or "off" position. ![]() this is with the lights off. ![]() and this is on. ![]() Edit: Oh yeah, and the transmission went back to how it was. Stuck in 2nd gear this morning. Did go away though after driving and didn't come back. Hoping it is a cellanoid problem.....so I don't need a whole new trans. and my mechanic has a buddy who is really good on trans. He's prob taking a look at it sometime this week.

thank you
![]() what do you think of the trimmed bumper? it's a little funky lookin now but it's because it's not lifted yet. For example, take a look at MoonyJohn. I trimmed it just like his and his looks SO nice because it's lifted.

Lookin good!
I have mixed emotions about trimmed bumpers. I do agree they look better with a decent lift. I'm waiting until I NEED to trim mine to decide how I'm going to trim. You're Jeep looks a lot cleaner with the side claddding removed. I love that look. Mines a limited tho, so since my cladding is color matched I just can't bring myself to remove it.. lol

![]() the limited's look real nice. is yours black? the black limited's look amazing, my friends dad has a 95 black lmtd, and painted the bumpers and cladding black and came out real nice. has a 3.5" IRO with black diamond shocks, 32" tires, and 15" cragars. im doing almost everything he did, except diff. tires. and for your bumper, trim it. you'll be happy about it. I'm so glad I trimmed mine, even though it still has stock suspension and everything

and i've planned on the lift, rims, n tires since I got the truck, even before I saw his, so that I'm not copying hahaand nah I haven't ordered the lift. I'm just waiting till I have the money for EVERYTHING so I can order it all at once and it'll be one big change. I'm doing 3.5" IRO, black diamond shocks all around, 15x8 cragar soft 8's, and 32x11.5R15 Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers. When I have the extra money after all of that, I'll worry about the rear adjustable track bar, centercaps, and lug nuts. and plus, my dad's been realllllly *****y lately bout my money situation on "spending it as soon as i have it" so i need to give it time. It's going to be 1500 for what I want for now, which means I'll have to wait till I have at LEAST 1750 so I hvae extra in case something happens to my truck right after the lift. Otherwise, I will NOT hear the end of it from him.
