That's cool.. Yj's are tight and so easy to lift. Ive been wanting to get one just for fun but I can't have 2 projects right now cause I'm still living at my parents house... Housing is so darn expensive in California. A 2 bedroom apartment is like $1300-1500 a month

I dkn if it's true but I read in a magazine that cj's have a tendency to crack or bend their frame.. It makes me think twice. My uncle had one that was ridiculously overbuilt. He was running 40's on it too

Dang and I thought ca was bad! Hahah. An apartment is such a waste too. That's why i'm waiting for my daughter to be a little older so my wife can work too. My babys only 4 months right now. But my wife's done with school already

That, and i'm waiting to see if we ever get approved for government programs because my daughter was born with down syndrome. I love her to death

so im preppin the jeep to take it out this weekend. some friends and i are taking the dirt bikes out to california city.

got all my fluids looking good and all my suspension bolts looking nice. the front track bar was a little loose.

i bought a cool little air compressor so i can air up/down my tires now. i checked the tire pressure to see what the shop set it at.. man i should have checked earlier.
they had the fronts at 30 and the rears at about 36

so i dropped all 4 tires down to 25psi. it rides nice but it looks a tad low in the front so i'll prob air the fronts to 27 and the rears to 26

also, i got a coolant leak i need to take care of. im pretty sure its just a loose hose. its not bad, it just drips down a little bit sometimes. i was wondering where my coolant kept going.

I really want an offroad bumper.. Can't stand the no bumper cover look :

The jeep rode really well on the highway there and back. Some parts I was going 85 or 90 and it was a smooth ride. I just feel a little play in my steering but other than that, all went good.

Also, my home made quick disconnects are becoming a hassle.. So I'm gunna invest in some good ones. I like the rough country ones because it holds your sway bar up and out of the way when it's not connected. Also, they are like half the price! I'll do a little research on them and see what I thinks best

Np. Looks like you had fun. I think you need a bumper. Also get JKS discos. I like them and they are beefy.

My JKS were $85. And they hold the sway bar up out of the way when disconnected. I havent connected my sway bar in months tho
