Well I went back to the junkyard and they crushed the waggy. But it's okay because I kinda wanted to go full width and the waggy was actually an inch shorter than my stock Dana 30. I ended up picking up a rear Dana 60 for $142. I've yet to measure it properly but the wms to wms is somewhere around 67 inches. As opposed to my Dana 35 being 60 inches(not counting my wheel spacers and less backspacing obviousy) . This build will be slow as I'm still saving up cash but at least this gives me something to do in the meantime

My List for Summer

Okay here is my to do list that I am trying to get done by the end of summer. I will do as much as possible outside of the jeep that way I can still drive it.

Front:
Dana 44 or 60 depending on price difference. w/ 4.88 Gears & Grizzly Locker
Clayton Radius Front Long Arms
Unibody Rails/Plates

Rear:
Dana 60 w/ 4.88 Gears & Grizzly Locker
Clayton Rear True 4 Link

Tires:
35" M/T

I have being doing a lot of research and calculating prices. The reason I am going with Clayton instead of a smaller company like Ironman Fab is because after the price of all the brackets and mounts, Clayton was only around $150 more. And I've only heard great things about Clayton. I also like their free shipping for purchases over $500. And if its under $500 its no more than $20 to ship it.

One more reason I am going with Clayton is because they have made countless long arm kits and have perfected the right lengths of the links and etc. With some of the other smaller companies, they wanted me to measure and let them know. That's not a big deal, but I trust Clayton knowing before hand, then trusting my measuring. The Last thing I want is the wrong size arms and having to pay extra shipping prices and stuff to get the right lengths.

I am going with 4.88 differential gears because that will be good for 35's and later on 37's. I am making sure to do all of this right because I would rather do it once and do it right, then having to go back and correct things.

For the time being I will stay at 4.5" of lift and after I get everything on I will most likely go to 5.5" or 7".

How's your jeep doing? I'm planning to go to this. You should come out if you're able to

You know what I probably will. After doing some more research right now it looks like 5.13 will be a lot better

Yeah I know that's what it's gonna be. Every time I'm up there there's 2 or three guys that are all over it.

If I had lockers though I would go through a lot more of it though

Who knows maybe ill get up there and grow a pair haha

Haha exactly how I feel. We're in the same boat. I've actually never been to azusa but I've been wanting to go. It looks like a lot of fun from the pictures on Facebook

With the help of some friends I finally got the Dana 60 in the garage. Most people wash it first but this axle wasn't that bad so im just gunna wash what doesnt come off, after I take off all the brackets.

I havent had much time to work on it yet but I got the shock mounts off.
I used a cut off wheel to get the mount off. Then grinded it down. Then hit it with a flap disk. Then a wire wheel. I really like how clean it looks. The glare makes it look bad from far. But up close it looks a lot nicer

Still looking for a front Dana 60. Hoping I can find one with 4.11 gears

Lol I know. And I know it looks terrible. I actually had one cut out by Bryan and I borrowed dans (dcope17) welder but my house electrical sucks. And I wasn't getting any penetration. And I just recently started looking in the garage for my cut up pieces and it turns out either my dad threw it away or my gardner took it for scrap. So I'm back to stage one. I've recently started liking the tube bumper look a lot. Especially this one
