D44a Crane Hi-clearance Diff cover

Crane bases the market demand for diff covers on the number of requests they receive. Their other diff covers are amazing and well built. If we can get 200 request for the d44a diff cover, they would be able to have one by this summer hopefully.

Oh here is the email I received from them.

Quote:
Thanks for inquiring, Sorry no plans to build a cover for the aluminum D44. We base our pattern R&D work on number of requests. At this point the 44a has had a few requests. Sterling 10.5 is leading with 200 requests.
It will be in the works this winter with an expected release of spring 2010.

Thanks for the interest
Josh

Yeah Bluetorch is the only company making d44a covers right now. I talked to a rep at Solid and they didn't seem too interested in making one. These crane ones look good though!

i contacted Blue Torch Fabrications and they are producing heavy duty diff covers for the D44a but apparently they will not work on a WJ with the addco sway bar

These covers are already in production and ready to buy

for a ZJ though these covers are unbeatable ( i know these will work for a WJ with no rear sway bar and im under the impression that it will work for a WJ with the stock sway bar as well... i dont have a WJ so i dont know about the stock bar )

the pictures on blue torch fabs website are of my Jeep... if you would like any additional pics of the cover.. pm me and ill send em to you

Blue Torch FabWorks, Inc.

Crane makes a very nice cover though.. .i will send in a request for those that want a cover made from Crane... the more people making them the better

The BlueTorch Fab cover won't work with either Addco or stock sway bar on the WJ. I tried. You need about a one inch spacer for the sway bar bushing mount to make it work. At the moment I'm not running a rear sway bar, so it works fine for me.
