100% streetable . I'm only looking to have 33" or 35" tires on it for now, it's going to be build around great road manners as well as capability. Truth is though, it won't be seeing real trails until my blue WJ can't do it anymore. Even now, when we go wheeling I drive my blue WJ wherever we go hehe. It has no problem cruising the 2 hours up to fordyce, 3+ up to moonrocks and all the other places we enjoy wheelin. The black jeep will be a full daily driver all said and done, already rebuilt the engine just have to fix up the transmission and it's driveable. Then it'll be time to annihilate the D30 and 44a, to give reason for the tons to go in hehe.

Nice and ap that sounds sick I'm going for a dana 60 front end without the vacuum like saturnicl did I want to do a set up somewhat like creeps but on military 37s the newer Goodyear mt style, I also want to swap in a cherokee np242 so I can use the speedo off the tcase. But I have such stupid rescrictions in mass it sucks I barely pass inspection as it is so this should be fun to do and try and not pull codes like crazy from abs.

The military tires are stifffffff. There is a way to get the abs to work, its just pointless with such large tires.

I dont have abs, but everything else works. I used my transmission output speed sensor to feed my speedo and odo and calibrated it with a dakota digital box. I had the axles swapped and 242hd sye put in before i realized the speedometer wasnt gonna work ( i jumped into this project without much research HaHa. Dumb). Anyways, the DD box was my only option and it worked.

Its common for guys with axle swaps and 231s to get the speed input from the output speed sensor on the tail shaft of the 231
That's what I'm doing along with a sye.

Correction, that was not my only option but my only quik cheap option. A custom tone ring and sensor or 231 would work, yes.

Greg was talking about custom machining a tone ring for the output of a transfer case and jig up a mounting bracket for an abs sensor for guys that do axle swaps and need to keep the abs functional. Honestly, I don't think it would be too hard for someone like him to do.

Did you ever get the p/s pump situation figured out?

It hardly works anyways so that's not what matters to me I'm worried about the abs codes from the speed sensors not being connected and yeah I am doing the cherokee np242 sye I know an inspection guy that will pass me with basically anything that comes through the bay with enough tip, but he doesn't like cel or abs lights. And ap mtnmarc if he did that it would probably be the most purchased item in Wj history haha everybody would be buying them. And the military is very stiff but it's just insane how cheap they are and plus the 16.5" rim is about as small as I can go with the super duty axles because the brakes are huge and creep this thing is sweet can you take some pics on how in the world they set up those leaf springs?

Marc, that would be sweet, i think it would do very well. I still have a leaking box, i probably need to go to sac or roseville to get one from a jy, then send it to psc and have them rebuild and tap it. Or i will just rebuild mine, do you know of a write up on it? I hear the are difficulty.
Thanks masswj, I will try and get some pics, there pretty basic. Mounts are welded to the sub frame then i put a frame stiffener in and tied them to that and my rear bumper strengthens the rear. Are you gonna get h1 beadlocks with those tires?

Mine leaks too. Hah. Its on the long list of stuff I still need to do.

I'll probably just end up getting a reman box and get it tapped. I've seen some gear boxes torn apart and it doesn't look fun. Or if I have a ton of down time with my jeep, I may undertake the challenge of rebuilding it.
