Im going to the rubicon for the first time tomorrow morning. Hopefully nothing major breaks. The only obstacle left that im really looking foward to giving a shot is the soup bowl. Im not sure if anything else is left but it will be an experience. And im taking both the youngins. I should have lots of pics and videos by sunday.

Awesome, Soup Bowl is a lot of fun. Old sluice is a great optional technical section that bypasses the off camber slabs headed down toward buck island if you're beginning on the Loon Lake side (vs the Tahoe side). I've heard starting at the lake and heading back up old sluice can be fun.

The rubicon was awesome, very tough still. The soup bowl was fun, alot bigger in person and intimidating. A.P. I know the trail your talking about we accidentally started heading up it at night but backed out. I heard its really tight and body damaging but i like the technical stuff much more than the off camber stuff. The part between little sluice and buck island was the worst part of the trail to me because its all off camper on the side of a rock slab, and we had to go back and forth 4 times between our camp and the broken rig at little sluice, 3 at night. Out of a group of 7 rigs only 2 got to go all the way through to tahoe, they were getting parts for one of the 2 broken vehicles. We saw at least 5 broken vehicles besides our own. Heres a few pics, i will post more soon.

Heres the broken radius arm on the bronco.

These two guys were our parts runners, the tj makes trail the fastest and the runners is ready to go anytime so they ran to tahoe for parts and i escorted the tj back to the little sluice from camp later that night.
