Craziest price ever!

Not a misprint, I emailed him.

http://jxn.craigslist.org/cto/3501812629.html

Here's what he had to say.

"Fair question. Very low miles - 53K? Whatever is posted is accurate. Vehicle trim is loaded and is in very clean condition. Vehicle has been garaged every night. Perhaps the price reflects my favor of it. I don't need to sell it but am in market for a new different family car - van, cab truck, not sure. So didn't want to set price to low before other decisions could be made. I think it is a nicer ride than "Bluebook" may say it is. Price is negotiable. I just know it has been cared for and would be a great value as a used purchase for someone. I'd rather buy a higher priced used vehicle than a "$200 special today only."

Not even a picture! Did I mention he works at a law firm?

I could maybe see someone paying close to that if:
1. He had full service records down to windshield wiper changes at the dealer
2. He had tons and tons of professional quality pictures on the ad showing like new condition inside and out
3. He actually had the mileage posted on the ad
4. The buyer wasn't aware of blue book values

Otherwise, he's about 10k over price. Obviously not priced to sell.

Ha, I emailed the same guy last week just to let him know how ridiculous his price was.

If he took the "1" off the front of his number, it would be a good deal

It's rampant! Just got off the phone with a guy who paid $12500 for an 04 WJ Rocky mountain with 115k miles.
On the other hand I'm thankful because he's selling me a minty '00 with a bad 4.7 for $950!

I got my WJ with service records like that. A 3" three ring binder with every receipt for every tank of gas, every oil change, everything--all the way back to the original purchase. And it came with a warranty from the used car dealership. AND it was still only $9,000.

I've found a few that are very low mileage and only a couple have been in good shape. One guy is asking $11k for an '02 and is FIRM on the price. Won't email me back though...

Lots of dealerships thinking they can get over 10 grand on a vehicle whose KBB is only 8-9k. And that's in perfect condition, which most of them aren't.

Me: I'd recommend looking at the KBB value for this vehicle. You're asking double what it's worth.
Logan

Him: Thanks for the courteous suggestion. I know I'm high and others have said same. I'm not really ready to sell so I was just sort of fishing. It's a nice ride, garaged it's whole life and loaded.

Maybe its worth his asking price if the Garage comes with it.....
