why did the jeep even make the 42re? they should have stuck with the 5speed and the AW4

Haha I know right man?? Wth were they thinking

Was the AW4 a really strong trans? The 6 speed in the Rubicon is supposed to be a really strong trans too.

The AW4 is a very strong trans. I believe it was ratmonkey who said that it was even used in some sports cars along the way...

The AW4 is quite beefy.

Kramer - Low comp stroker would be for lots of boost. Twin turbo 4.6 =

For me, when the time comes that it starts to feel slow with the cam I'm putting in this weekend, a boosted stroker (either 6.7 or 7.0 for me) will come

Usually if you stroke it your compression ratio rises, an added bonus when grinding an offset centerline crank, longer rods, or what have you. boosting a motor with raised compression is almost always a bad idea, but if your talking money for custom pistons, buy a v8 lol

You should know by know why I don't have a build thread! I'm way too lazy about taking pics while I'm working on the Jeep

So I'm away in Virginia on vacation but i was sent this picture by my friend who received the package for me (I told him he could open it). He said brackets, air dam, hardware, instructions, and everything was present so I'm excited to get home and install. Rear brackets aren't going to arrive till Tuesday so no Rob you won't get to see the rear tire carrier

Looking good. Primer is the most important part when you want your paint to stick well. I love rattle canning stuff on the Jeep.

Looks great to me. I'm envious of your painting know-how. I just haven't got a knack for it. I can't wait to see it all mounted to the Jeep. It's coming along nicely.
