i would change all of your TREs ..very easy job to do at home ...just make sure you count the threads and put on the new TREs the same way your old ones came off ...if not your gonna need a new alignment also take off your trac bar and check those bushings

Tempting.... I want to pull everything and inspect it first last thing I wanna do is dump $100 on my TREs and not have money left over if the trackbar is bad too. The tie rods seem to be nice and tight so I might just do the drag link ends and check the track bar bushings and determine if those need to be done. That seemed nice and tight though the bracket was squishing the bushing well and the bolts were clean and tight. There was no play in it when my roommate was moving the wheel.

Edit: It looks like I'm looking at Moog ES3472, ES3473, ES3474, and ES3475 for a total of $111 shipped from Rockauto so I'll assess the situation once I get under there this weekend I've got a couple months to figure this out before I need to take the WJ on the highway again and I'll be using a SS meanwhile (plus my roommate can drive us around meanstwhile) so this isnt any dire issue. If the trackbar shows any problems I'll be looking into a JKS adjustable. 116k miles seems about right for needing steering parts replaced anyways so I'm not at all pissed that this happened and look forward to how shes going to drive once this is all said and done, I knew it felt loose going down the highway but MAN is it amazing how much the SS hid... and me thinking I needed a new SS while going over bumps? Nope that was death wobble and my factory SS was actually doing a great job of hiding it. SO... new ends and the RMA'd SS should drive awesome I knew she's been getting sloppy over time cant wait for tighter steering again.

Are you going to start with buying a new drag link Tie Rod and the see how that does first before you dive into all the other TRE's?

I think I'll start with both drag link ends and see where that goes I wanna get under there and check all the components again maybe take another video or two if it DWs after the drag link work I'll do the TREs. This will also give me a great chance to finally center my steering wheel hahaha!

Pshhh don't be so doubtful! That's the problem and I'm gunna fix it and not spend months and hundreds of dollars fixing it.... Right? Haha I had my roommate wobble the wheel some more and everything else seemed fine and tight so I'll do both the drag link ends (only one is bad but might as well) and see where that takes me

found out what the "Death wobble" was, it was just being a Jeep

but no haha I got all the bolts and threads PB'd and I'm ordering the Tie rod ends tonight maybe if not tomorrow. I took her for a nice drive cruised 50-60 most of the time hit some bumps and shes behaving great with the factory SS back on but rest assured I'm not ignoring those worn parts! Getting some nice Moog replacements but shes perfectly drivable meanstwhile and I had put well over 1200 miles on her with the worn parts without knowing so I'm not at all worried this will become an issue (wood knocking is ensuing anyways).

I'm gunna count the threads and measure end to end for double checking so I shouldnt need to get her re-alligned. The drag link I'll just adjust anyways to my liking to recenter the wheels. Haven't RMA'd the moog SS yet, I'm on Amazon Prime so it shouldnt take long

Right Right, Drag link is for the steering wheel to be centered. But still want it to be really close to what it is now! Amazon prime is really awesome. Period.
