Cv axles are real easy, did my passanger awhile ago, before I was on the forum. Want to change to some cromoly u joint shafts one day but the cost a pretty penny, so stuck with cvs right now but I do have a lifetime warranty on em. Its 98 & 50% humidity. It Sucks & have to work outside.

Got the rear diff fluid changed, not much else to put in my build thread at the moment.

Before

The inside, not as clean as the front, but got it pretty clean after the pic, all gears look good front and back, with very little metal shavings on the magnets, more like a powder ish shavings.

Its done! No leaks so far.

Sorry about all the crappy cell pics, one day ill get internet back for my computer so I can upload from my camra.
Next project should be my motor mounts! Ew

Did you remember to add the friction modifier? Looks good, and it's always nice to get the little things taken care of. These are the things that keep a Jeep going for years to come.

Yeah, I did remember the modifier, only used half the recomended amount, I used royal purple and it supposed to have some in it, I do have a bottle of the modifier im keeping in the jeep incase it starts making noise or acting funny. Thanks man! Im trying to get the basics done before my trip to colorado, need to change my motor mounts, trans and transfer fluids, then ill be ready.
Hopeing to be able to order a longarm lift and some sliders in the next 6 months or so. But till then it will be the simple stuff, it should help keep the jeep happy with me.

Moving back to live with her, or moving back to the area? Let me know if you need a roommate. I feel ya on the heat, too. Even if we haven't got the humidity, with the lack of rain, it's as dry as the Dust Bowl days up here, only I think it's actually hotter!

Now back to your regularly scheduled Jeep thread...

Got my transfer case fluid changed out today. Was gunna do my motor mounts today but its way to hot and I need a break. Noticed I have allot of rocking motion on my tie rod and drag link, looks like I need new ends. I am correct that there should be no play in them? Any input would be appreciated.

Edit: new moog ball joints it is.

Looking for a little input from anyone who cares to share, so ive been getting a gear whine type noise from my front end, I think its coming from my double cardon in the front shaft, I took it out for two days and most noise was gone, think I still heard a little whine but not real sure, I know my alingment is off due to bad joints. But I talked to tom woods and he said he would fix anything wrong with the shaft, think I may do it. Any input would be apreciated. Thanks

I'd come help out if I lived nearer. Darn, but when are you going to move back to Colo? I want to come with. This heat is too much. We had rain tonight though. What, rain? It's like, epic stuff!

So I got all my ends put in saturday and got alingment done today, dont know if im happy with the result, would like some input from anyone who knows more about alingments.

Finished result

Seems to me the caster should be allot better than this.? And you cant adjust camber on a wj, right?
guys at the shop told me it is just fine the way it is. Not sure I like it. But I dont really know anything about alingment.
really could use a few thoughts on this. Thanks
