I know nothing about allignment stuff so I can't help you there. Sorry.

Remind me again what you're having done with the driveshaft...

I really hope to meet you, but Estes Park really is further than I think I can afford to go anytime soon. It'll be a miracle if I can afford gas just to camp at Bear Lake. Man, tough times.

Wish I was moving with ya back to Colo. I need to get out of this state. It's too blasted hot, and our Governot is infuriating.

Was getting some vibes from the front shaft, its a tom woods shaft and they covered it put all new u joints new ball cup and rebalanced all for free, other than the 20$ it took to send it to them, I give them a for standing behind their product, I think I was a month or two past my warranty.

I wish we could meet up and hit a couple trails, its so dang hard to travel anymore you have to have a small fortune just to drive to another state. If things change and you could make it closer let me know.

I know, im tierd of texas and all its heat, your right things are corrupt and crazy here.

Wish I was there to help out. Still no luck dealing with my own vibe issues. View my build thread for info on that.

How hot is it supposed to be tomorrow where you are? We had a day this week that was only 82! It was surreal, but I wasn't knockin' it!

I still think I should move with you to Colorado when you go. Take me with you! LOL

Drive shaft is back in and doing good, still have a gear whine type noise with a little bit of a vibe that I cant track down, its driving me nuts! Kinda sounds to be passanger side. Has the sound of a bad cv or bearing, all looks ok, but has me stumped.
Any ideas?

got trans fluid and filters changed

New filters in

Ive had my jeep for about a year now and cruise control never did worked right, but finally fixed it yesterday, and it was way to easy, cant belive I didnt do it sooner. it was a kinked vacuum line behind passanger head light, and auto zone gave me the 4"x 5/16 hose for free. Works like new and took mabe 10min. Its the simple things like that that puts a smile on my face

Old line

It's kind of funky how they did some of the stuff under the hood in Jeeps. It's like the location of the washer fluid bottle in WJ's. I bet it's good to have cruise again.

There aren't bands to adjust on the trans for the 4.7, are there? It looks pretty good from the photos. Were there any metal shavings in the pan?

Ill be real happy to have my cruise working on my trip.
Yeah the 4.7s do have bands but I dont know how to adjust them, still shifts good and smooth so ill worry about it next time. Very little shavings/powder on the magnet in the pan so im happy!

so I really could use some input and advice, still have a front gear whine sound and slight vibe starting around 15 to 20 mph most persistant under load accel/deccel but constant. replaced motor mounts but not trans mount. could i have a bad angle on tc? A bad hub bearing would just stay consistant, right?
Have road trip in 12 days and and really could use some help.

Most noise is gone, but still have some popping and gear whine noise in the front that I havnt figured out yet.

1 week till colorado, still have a few more things id like do get done on the jeep, but im ready

I see you make such things look so easy, and I'm envious. I'm not mechanically inclined, so everything I do on my Jeep seems monumental. lol Good job with the new hub bearing. I hope that by some miracle I can manage to be in Colorado, but I still doubt I could get up as far as you'll be. Be sure to keep us updated. I'd love to meet up if on the off chance I can make it up there.

i got a decent MPG increase when i replaced my fuel filter, hopefully you will too.

ive heard CV's make a noise like what your describing, it might be worth replacing the pass side if thats where it sounds like its coming from and everything else checks out.

Ive seen a small increase allready, every mile makes a difference anymore.
Ive thought about the cv too, its only 6 months old, but is autozone brand, I may try and exchange it and see if it helps anything, still under warranty. Wish I had the money for some cromoly shafts.
thanks for the input.
