Made me some quick disconects for the front yesterday, thanks to home depot. Makes some rattling noise at low speeds, but worth the amount of flex I get.

first time I have ran disconected up front, was amazed at the diffrence.

you can see my headlight tint in these pics too, still need a little work before im totaly happy. Thanks for the idea willmcd and glad you didnt mind me copying you.

Have some rub on control arms and wheel well right above ca when disconected, not to worried though, might look into some spacers soon, but then I foresee fender trimming. Idk yet.

just a pic in the woods

Well I love the flex running disconnected, but I sure have allot of rub in the front that way. May try to do some bumpstop extinsons and see what kind of trimming will be needed.
connected

vs dsconnected

huge difference, hope I can make it work without to much trimming.

Not much new, been out playing a couple times, no good pics or stories to share though. ive been slacking on projects and outings to try an save up for some long arms and a trip to colorado. Still havnt tried any bumpstops to run discoed yet, but know there would still be much a trimming to be done at 2". Any how hopping to make it to bridgeport soon and hit some real trails soon.re

Well, did the grill mod today, simple yet fun and looks good too. Was able to cut the grill from the bumper with a razor knife, cut real easy and clean, I kept the original grill insert in, just painted it gloss black, figured it would support the mesh a little more and also gave it a little bit of a 3d look, still not sure if I want to paint the mesh I know it would look good but then I have to worry about it chipping, idk yet.

also got this put on today too.

Made it to bridgeport today it was a blast, they have a little bit of everything out their, was real nice to get the jeep on some rocks she did real well, my girl on the other hand not so much she is getting better though, she never been wheeling till I got my jeep. I was a slacker and got no good pics of the jeep in action, was almost to hot to be outside and no one came with, always easier go get pics when you have a few jeeps/trucks in a group and could have used a spotter a couple times, did make it home with no damage or breakage, so all is good and for anyone here in texas, I will be going again real soon and could use some jeep/trail buddies.

sorry for lack of pics, next time I promise.

Only pic of the jeep for the day

and the five diamond black we came across, needless to say I didnt try it, lol. Rocks were as big as my jeep

wish I got more pics,

Finally changing out my driver front axle shaft, took awhile to find a new one, reman is 48$ with 50$ core, but I wanted to save my old one so they wanted 109$, but finally found a new one for 75$ so now I will have a spare for both sides. Got it all apart, now just waitin on 3:00 to go get my new one, so I took a couple pics while im waiting, didnt take as long as I thought it would, only had 2 stubborn bolts, but I got em and with only one bloody knuckle, lol.

More to come!

The new one

All done, wasnt bad at all, other than the 100 degree heat!

I noticed you have a CV shaft there. I never really thought about it, but I didn't know that you could get U-joint shafts for the WJ. I'd think they'd be better though. At least CV's seem to cause issues. Kudos for pulling it yourself. I always end up with cracked knuckles no matter what I do. So one isn't bad. Let us know how it works out. 100 degrees, but what's the humidity like there? It's already 100 this morning for you?

Yes, it snows in Texas.
