A clear lexan deflector and they will be minimum drag.
I like the lights that way Matt.

Lights look really good. I like how they fit underneath the roof rails.

Looks Sweet Matt! I like the idea. Where are you going to run the wires?

I gotta make another trip out to CO, but in the Jeep this time. No Moab for me this year, so I cant just stop by.

Is it really necessary that it is clear lexan, opposed to black lexan?

Would it really shine through that well? I would think it would cause some glare issues... My lights already light up my entire hood, not too much glare on the windshield but a little.

Okay but I think Speedy was talking about putting it at an angle so that it reduces the wind resistance? Not just putting clear light covers on. Correct me if I'm wrong speedy.

Yes, yes and yes.... We did that in a pinch sometime ago in a friends XJ to basically reduce drag and still be able to let the light shine through. We did this in a pinch, since he was driving from Miami to Canada, and wanted to save as much in gas as possible. It worked fine; and he has not taken it off as it has helped him prevent damage from trees when wheeling.
The Lexan was a piece we bought at Home Depot, and cut it to provide the shallowest angle possible from the roof to the bar. Ended up being close to 13 inches I believe.

Hey Matt, question for ya. I'm swapping my stock cloth '97 Laredo seats with some 2002-3 leather Laredo seats I pulled from the junkyard this weekend. I'm going to have to use my frames to get these to fit, but the actual seats will be up for grabs. I thought you might like to upgrade yours. I just figured you could pull yours off your frames and put these on. But wait, do you have power seats so these would wire in?

You're the closest JF member I can think of. So you get the offer, yo. LOL

The '97 cloth seats are nice, perhaps an upgrade for what you have. I'm not sure. You'd probably rather do what I'm doing than swapping cloth with cloth. Let me know though.

Heck, I didn't know that. Well, n/m then. I guess I didn't know because you've pulled everything off the outside that'd let me know. lol I'm soon going to join the ranks of leather seats, but I don't know what I'm going to do about the rear seats.

Any progress on the light install?
