Sorry, didn't mean to get your panties in a bunch.

by the way Ninja, I did forget to mention it before. The 35s look sweet. I'd like to do 35s myself but i think my set up is at it's limits with 33s. I wight have to see wha the old wagon looks like with 35s though.

Have you had a chance to wheel with the 35s yet? Do you think they will rub anywhere?

i just finished hammering down the pinch seem in the fender well so that wont be an issue..... even with the 33"s if i flexxed too much the pinch seem custom siped my lugs so i didnt want that to happen again

I havnt had a chance to wheel it with the 35"s yet but with the proper bumpstops i dont think rubbing will be an issue

and thank you

Hope you're right Matt. With mine turning really caused issues with the 35's. Partially because I had to go with less backspacing (wheels didn't come in anything less then 4.7" BS). But I ended up grinding away so much from the pinch seam in the front wheel wells that I busted through all of the sheet metal and had to patch it back together to get enough clearance.

i took my front tires off and pounded it out pretty flat ... didnt take the grinder to it ... im gonna disco the front and flex it out and see what happens on my next day off

for normal driving it doesnt rub at all.. even at full lock

also

talked to Iron Rock Offroad ... there welding up the belly skid plate and hopefully test fitting it tonight hopefully ill have some pictures and stuff that im allowed to show people here soon

looks like there trying to design it to work with either the short arms or long arms ... so even for those of you who dont have long arms... this might be something you are interested in

It must be nice to live nextdoor to IRO. You lucky SOB. And here with winter upon you, you'll have plenty of opportunities to test all the equipment out.

what im wondering is will that skid plate work with IROs front LA crossmember and regular rear short arms where it will have to attach to the frame rail.

OK ... so they just sent me a picture via text message ... this thing looks freakin sweet

its more of a transfer case skid than a full underbody skid which is why it will work with any combination of components

unfortunately.. i cant show any pics still ... but will show pics as soon as they give me the ok

EDIT : just got another call from them... ill have some pictures later tonight that i can show everyone

I wonder where I got the idea that they were nextdoor to you. Well, I never claimed to be a genius. What'll shipping on that skid cost you then? Not that price even factors into these things anymore. You're way, way past that.
