4.5" Springs arrived on friday ! !

and i picked up the JKS rear track bar from a guy on Colorado4x4

ill post pictures when i get home

i actually might be installing this when i go to Grand Junction to visit my cousin.

he does alot of metal work and welding so im gonna see what he can do about a rear bumper/tire carrier as well

im going to pick up some 4.5"-6" JKS Quicker Disconnects from a guy on Colorado4x4.org on Tuesday .... for $50 ! !

ive been getting pretty damn lucky with this lift


i also just ordered the RE end links and brake lines from Kolak


i will finally have my complete lift and be able to put it on

anyone have a spring compressor i can borrow?

im looking for one like the Harbor Freight compressor

like this



the ones you rent at auto zone and such suck and they are much more difficult and time consuming to use

i used the loaner style when i did my current lift and i hated them... i mean.. i really really threw them against the wall cursed at them hated them

this time i only wanna use the HF style. if nobody has one im just gonna go buy one and everyone can borrow mine if they need to

I bought the $56 pair from Napa. They were the only ones short enough to not interfere with the spring perches.

yeah the loaner ones that i used from Vato Zone would hit the perches.. and pretty much everything else in there.. and when i finally got it all in, it was hard as hell to get the spring compressors off of the spring.

i did alot of spinning and uncompressing and recompressing and adjusting to get the vato zone ones to work

this time im only using HF compressor

Ok, silly question for you. Why do you all need spring compressors to do your lifts. I did my TJs RE5.5 on my garage floor with 6 ton jack stands and a floor jack. I supported the frame with the stands and lowered the diffs to the floor with the sway bars/shocks disconected. There was plenty of room to slip the springs in. Is it different with GCs?
