Done with the axle swap. All I need now is a new front axle breather nipple, I destroyed the old one trying to press it in the rebuilt axle.

Good to see you got it done, Chris. If you want, you can have the breather nipple from my d30. Since my house is on your way to Moab in a few weeks.

I just read all 37 pages of this build thread, and the only cool pictures were...

Great Jeep man! You should be proud to know this is the first build thread I have read start to finish. It's inspirational!

That is a very nice looking WJ you've built. Now that I'm on the wifi at home I can go back and drool on those pictures of the red rocks! I would love to get out there some day!

I also will have an extra breather tube for a D30 if you still need one by the time you get here.

'00 XJ not quite there..

Thanks for looking through the thread! Hopefully I can find someplace interesting to wheel in MI!

Had another fun Moab trip with Will (85IrocZ-28), Jarrod (WJwheelin), Josh (Will's brother) and Tim (don't know his JF handle). We ran Cliffhanger Thursday; Hurrah Pass, Chicken Corners and Fins at night Friday; and Strike Ravine Saturday. Almost all picture credits go to Emmy (Will's wife), I would have nothing to show for my Moab trips without her behind a camera.

Cliffhanger was much more difficult than I expected from the description in Well's book. We had to stack a few rocks to get out the wash after the initial decent from the road. It was probably the most difficult trail I have been on to date.

Chicken Corners was a fun trail. Josh ran it with his stock Durango with nothing but a few minor crossmember draging incidents.

Strike Ravine is a trail that winds around Area BFE. We were hoping to see some buggies around Helldorado, Dropkick, etc. Instead, I broke my rear locker on a simple 2' ledge in a wash.

The point of failure.

Keeping the tow strap handy incase I need a pull. Front wheel drive made the obstacles a little tough.

Jarrod was upset that I was able to break my rig before him, so he went ahead and snapped his rear drivers side shaft to show he is the 'King of Karnage'

And a little group picture before two of us had to go out for our tow rigs.

We always have a great time wheeling, and look forward to your return to Moab!

Great pics and looks like a great time, other than the breakage. But hey, it happens.
Thanks for sharing!

Love the pics - I'm very envious right now lol

Gotta ask though - what's with the mud flaps? Is it required by law or are you just being curteous to other drives?

Inquiring minds want to know

Check the Utah section here on Jeepforum. It is the UT JeepCrew sticker. Most have bfg Mt tread, but Team1k made me one with the mtr tread.

Utah is pretty pickey about their safety requirements. Mudflaps are requried for the full tread width down to the axle centerline on the rear of any vehicle that has been lifted. I don't even notice them anymore.

So that includes lifted vehicles from other states visiting as well?
