Exactly. I think it looks clean with the mount removed.

New seals for sure. I will probably reuse the carrier bearings, not sure on the pinion. They may be easier to just buy new.

I'm kind of a fan of going that route anyway.

You'll want a shim kit to set up the gears anyway, unless you already have some laying around, you might as well just get the whole overhaul kit with bearings, shims and seals at that point.

Just my unsolicited 2 cents.

I have plenty of spare parts laying around. The front bearings have really low miles, but the bearing on the gear side of the pinion is tough to get off without damaging the cage. I'll see how it looks when it comes apart.

Yeah, every time I look under my jeep, I wonder why I still have the UCA on the axle

I really like that JJ, I am considering that as a future upgrade now that I see it in, it should be solid.

Jk HP30's use the same knuckles/hubs/axle shafts as the jkd44 - but r&p is smaller.

Also in my research the Front will bolt up to the stock location with minor rework of the trackbar

I am 'bolting in' this hydra-lok to save a few axle shafts. My next axle build will be something a little stronger. Let me wear these 35's out first...

Swapped the 4.56 ring on the hydra-lok carrier tonight. One step closer to being back on the road!

Looking good Chris. One of these days I will attempt gears, good luck with the install.
