I haven't touched it yet. The dub is a nightmare on snowy/icy roads with the front locker and I'm sure the 12.5 wide tires don't help any. I will regear the vari-loc carrier, but haven't decided if I will 'polish' it any more than that.

Will be picking up a little accessory for the WJ on Saturday. I am sure I will miss the old Ford occasionally.

Looks like your stable is filing out similar to mine. My last two Rams have been silver. Love it.

It looks like that d30 had a healthy amout of silicone applied to it

We are looking forward to the trip. I need put the projects around the house on hold, and dedicate at least two Satuday's to jeep projects.

I am watching your axle swap. I assume I'll do something similar once I wear out this set of 35's... I hope the Hemi Ram makes a good tow rig.

The picture looks worse than actual. I would guess it is the original stuff Chrysler stuck on there. I think I am going to give a lube locker a try this time.

Are you going to swap your gears over, or are you buying a new set of D30 4.56's?

I will swap over the 4.56's from the current axle. I need to order some parts and get this project started.

Finally installed the KOR light bar I won at GSW last year. It JUST clears the header above the door.

Finished stripping the new to me D30. I'll post pictures of the progress as it goes.

Blasted the spindles after work and gave them a coat of primer. For a finish coat, metallic aluminum, which has a strange close-to-chrome look.
