Cool, I look forward to seeing it in action. I like the 247, but am starting to think about a 242 again...

I don't know which is the better option. I didn't have any complaints with the 247, but wanted a front locker. I think a selectable locker with either TC would have been a better choice, but I have 1/2 the cost into the 242/spartan combo. Maybe on the next front axle...

Noticed the passenger rear leaking gear oil again. Pulled the shaft, cleaned the seal/housing area with lint free tags and brake cleaner. Applied some RTV to the seal od and put everything back together. Reinstalled my IRO skid. Drove it to a secret dirt road in North Ogden for a 4wd test. Front locker, 4wd and low range all work well. Dropped it back off at the garage to have the final emissions test repeated now that there are some miles on the repair.

Loaded the Grand on the trailer and am almost ready for GSW. Add some camping gear tomorrow and I'll be good to go!

It's a Jeep, it's not supposed to work right all the time.

Had a little suprise waiting for me when I fired up the truck this morning in Moab. The golf ball sized rock was still setting on the hood.

Hopefully an accident from some kids, and not an act of ecoterrorism...

That sucks, sorry to hear it. What a terrible way to end such a great week.

Moab was fun as usual. When I turned my camera on, it did not recognize the memory card, so I will have to steal some pictures from the rest of the group to post here.

Rose Garden Hill

Kane Creek

I will post more as I find them.

Thanks Jarrod for the use of your driveway for the drag link repair, and to Matt, Will and Emmy for another good trip!
