Thanks for the idea, I figured I'd find a place when everything is torn apart.

Washed the Jeep today to get ready for tucking the tank.

Started by supporting the fuel tank with a floor jack.

Then completely removed the tank. I planned on removing with a cut off wheel, so I didn't want vapors anywhere near where I was working.

Here is the tool of choice...

And what it looks like now.

I will take some measurements and determine where I will locate the charcoal canister before I start putting things back together. If anyone has a pic of where they placed their's, I would appreciate it.

I will post an update later as the job progresses.

Just do it!

I removed about 5 lbs. of sand/dirt from the fuel tank and skid today. I will hopefully start the reassembly process this afternoon.

Are they clunky or clangy in any way? loud or annoying noises from them?

They don't make any noise. Have you tightened the jam nuts?

It is going well. Currently on hold until Tuesday. Metal work is done, just need to put everything back together. I'll post some pics when it's done.

I dont have them, but it's their track bar that clunks which is why I am hesitant on getting the quickers...

Test fit the fuel tank skid tonight. Had some interference with the driver's side sway bar link and am going to have to lose the tailpipe. I am gaining 7" of clearance at the tank. Can't wait to have it done and back on the road.
