Cladding

I'm sick of looking at those stupid little rivets on the side of my jeep. I can do one of two things but can't decide what I want to do. Help me decide.

A. Hit the junkyard and track down some black limited or 5.9 deep slate cladding and take what I can get as far as condition goes. I like the idea of having black cladding to match my black bumpers, wheels, and soon to be black sliders. The bottom half of my jeep would be black, top half would be deep slate. It would be easy to tell the difference in the sun.

B. Grind off the rivets and spray on some bed liner. I would do the U-POL Raptor Liner like Fraser_Brown posted in CLNinja's thread. It would end up looking like this.

What do you guys think?

hunt down some cladding. the gray laredo cladding is cool too IMO. i feel ZJs look funky w/o cladding.

I personally think any kind of liner looks like crap. It can be done tastefully but is usually overdone. All the clading to me is overdone

If you can't find black limited or 5.9 clading then find 96 or newer gray clading, including the rocer covers & paint it. Either with gloss black fusion. Or flat fusion & then Mopar touchup slate.

One other rare set of clading would be from a TSI that came with black clading. Most were gray/driftwood but there were a few that came black. It's not painted. The plastic is just a nice satin black.

x2 on the liner, can be nice but usually its too much. and with a clean jeep like yours i would do cladding as well.

Black cladding would look good, your Jeep is already all black, stay in that direction.

I removed my cladding, painted my front and rear bumper, and I'm painting my rockers when I get the chance.

This is before I painted anything though, but gives you a better idea with the cladding completely off -

I think cladding would look better on your rig then lining the sides.

I like the clean look of your Jeep but at the same time that liner with the black finish looks really nice. Keep yours the way it is until you scratch it up too bad too stand and then line it? I just hate to see such a good paint job that's lasted so well through the years covered up.
