Wonderful, I did mine around then too. Specifically June 22nd 2012. Haven't greased them since either... Hmmm.

Mine has pulled similar shenanigans on me since December. One thing after another. Getting real close to 140k though, it's about time that everything original on it starts dying.

That stinks. I hope mine plays nice again soon after I dump some money into it!

sounds like a typical jeep acting up. Soon as you are happy with everything, something goes bad.

Hmm, makes me wonder if the fan is what's causing my cow poop smell. I guess it could be mistaken for a garbage smell... I figured it was from mudding in fields. I haven't been overheating, but will check the fan.

I think we all just need a beer. :cheers2: (courtesy of ChrisHager)

I know Harrisburg has a ton of horses/cows. If your WJ literally smells like cow crap, I'd wager either some was missed and needs washed off OR you had a little on your hand when you wiped your nose. That brings a whole new meaning to brown nosing...

Back in September of 2012, I posted a couple pictures showing how the OME HD springs handled about 750 lbs of cargo weight. The pictures were of 3 kegs, ice, and wine for my wedding reception. Last night, the wife and I were going through our wedding pictures and I stumbled across my 'cooler' used to keep one of the kegs and the wine cool. It worked out very well. Keep in mind, it required a shop vac and a bunch of towels to remove all the water.

Anyway, I figured y'all may get a kick out of it. The first two pictures are from the post linked above.

Perfect use of the spare tire well! How'd you bail it out?

I think I used a 32oz mug to lower the water level for the drive home (the next morning). Once home, I shop vac'ed it out then dried it up with some towels.

Nice! Not too bad, would be perfect for a tailgate application too. I've seen people plumb drain plugs too.

Any updates on the WJ?

A drain would have been handy, though that's the only time I ever used it as a cooler.

The WJ is doing OK. It's kind of nickel-and-diming me right now but I'm hoping if I can get caught up on it, things will level out. Honestly my biggest issue is time. I have parking brake shoes for the WJ and a TON of parts for the J-10 but I have no time to work on either. After this weekend (brother's wedding and son's first birthday party), I hope things will slow down so I can get some parts installed.

I hear you man, hopefully things will settle down some for the summer. Parking brake shoes should not be too bad to do.

Yesterday the family and I took a trip to St. Louis to hit up the Zoo for Elias' first birthday. Besides no air conditioning in the WJ, the trip went well. The WJ drove great and felt smooth the entire trip. I was thankful for no hiccups.

We were able to find close up parking at the zoo because no one was brave enough to squeeze in next to this princess:

Also, I feel it necessary to show off my son because, frankly, he's awesome...

That's about all for the moment. This weekend I may look into the air conditioning problem. I have a feeling it's compressor and/or recirculation door related. I'm open to advice if anyone has some to give!

Small update - I believe my recirculation door is perfectly fine AND I found out my compressor is actually working! A few weeks ago, I checked the pressure in the system and was surprised to find it reading high. We checked again yesterday and noted it was low. I threw in 2 cans of R-134a and was greeted with cold air! The only thing I can think of as to why it was reading high is when we checked it a few weeks ago, maybe the clutch on the compressor was stuck? Who knows...

Anyway, I currently have a working A/C system. I'll be watching it this week to see if it lasts. If it does, I may throw in another can of R-134a this weekend as it's still reading a little low on the gauge.
