Building up my ZJ... thread

Well i've been in here for a while and finally I have the money and time to start modding out my jeep. Here is my list of things to come:

Suspension:
IRO 4.5" Kit
Doetsch Tech 8000 Prerunner Shock Upgrade
ZJ Rear Adjustable track bar
4.5" front + rear coil springs
F + R, U + L, adjustable control arms
JKS Quick Disconnect upgrade
ZJ Stainless Steel Braided Brake line Set (F+R)
Bar Pin Eliminating Shock Relocation Brackets (F)
Bumpstops extensions

Bumpers
KOR Stealth FB with D-ring welds and shackles
KOR Stealth RB w/tire carrier and D-ring welds and shackles
Lights
4 Hella 700s top front 2 Hella 700s front bummer
2 Hella 500s top rear

Power Supply
Stinger or concord deep cell for a second battery
Battery Isolator
Inline fuses plus wiring
Fuse panel to connect axuliary equipment
Mean-green High output alt.

Wheels
Cragar Soft 8s 16*7
Wrangler Silent Armor 285/75/16 or MTRs

Exhaust
Kolak cat and back system 3.0" $369.00

Horn
Stebel Nautilus compact truck horn

Gearing
456 for D44hd/a
Pinion bearing "Yukon"
Lockers...

Lifting jack
Tractor Supply High Lift 48"

Eventually I would like to build a 5.9 and install that in place of my 5.2. So far the only mods i've made are the Stebel horn, Vanco power brakes 16" kit, and K&N air filter.

As of recently I started fixing my rusted rocker issue and designing custom rocksliders to be welded in place of the rockers. I'll repost those pics in here just to keep everything together. Next week I should be finishing those up... they'll have a nice step rail running the length of the jeep.

Once I finish my rock sliders i'll be ordering my lift kit from IRO... looking forward to getting that installed. Does anyone have any recommendations about my lift kit... things to add?

I'm waiting to see more. I think I may steal your hood trick with the bedliner, mine is all chipped up.

Get atleast adjustable lower control arms with the lift. If you have the cash you should get uppers if you plan on staying short arms for a while. Its fine without them though, Im still running stock uppers.

I like the bedliner there, mines got some dings and chips where its starting to rust.

as i look at the last picture i just posted i can actually see how bad my 11yr old paint job really is. I applied 4 coats of dupli-color bedliner to get the final product.

Edit: to get my line on the hood i followed the natural bend in the metal with my tape. this bend is very noticeable from the side and easy to follow.
