...and sold my front Waggy earlier today for $400. It was the quickest sale I've ever done, posted it on my local forum and it was gone a few hours later. Maybe I should have asked for more money lol.

I don't remember exactly but the truss was around $400 and the front axle was like $175. I just wanted it to sell fast.

The short answer is no, I won't be at GSW this year. I'm joining the Army Active Duty (that means I'll be living on a base). The plan is to sell my Jeep at the end of next month before I ship out to Basic. I still owe money on it and the loan is co-signed by my Grandma so I'm just going to sell it and pay off the loan. Instead of going to GSW this year my family and I are going on one last vacation together before I move out of the house. I think we're going to Disneyland. Right now I'm just selling all the extra parts I have sitting in the garage like the Claytons I just sold to JFox21.That being said I'm obviously going to be away from the forum for at least 9 weeks (try not to sound to excited) while I'm at Basic. After that my access will be limited for 15 weeks during AIT. I'll need someone to take over GCOTM for me while I'm gone, let me know if you're interested. After Basic and AIT I'm hoping to pick up a tan LJ like this one while I'm living on base.

Couple questions
What made you decide to choice the Army? Secondly, Jeep related, what did you use to chop your front fenders? They look excellent.

You like the shock value, I'll give that to you. It's probably a good move, the military. You seem like the kind of guy that can handle it. The best of luck with everything. You will be missed though, even if you think we're all grins to see you gone. LOL Keep in touch as best you can.

The job I'm currently at is incrediably boring. I'm basically a flippin janitor even though that's not my job description. I've been working here for nearly 4 years and I'm sick of it! I'm also living at my parents house right now but I want to move out. Which is why I chose to go Active Duty instead of Reserve so I can live on a base for awhile. I chose the Army over every other branch because I have a few friends that have joined and are loving it. Other than that I'm not really sure, it just appeals to me the most I guess. This wasn't a sudden decision either, I've been debating it since I graduated from High School. I was just waiting to see what my chances of getting hired were before I made the decision. The fenders were pretty simple. Measured an inch from the top of the flat part of the fender and made a mark with a sharpie every few inches all the way around the fender. Then took some of that really thin masking tape and "connected the dots" that were made to make a solid line all the way around the fender. Then took a cut off wheel and slowly followed the bottom edge of the line until it was done.
