Need opinions. Do you guys see any disadvantages to doing this instead?

I can save about $1200 if I keep my Dana 44a. I wouldn't have to buy $620 - Disc Brake Conversion with Calipers, $290 – Clayton Offroad Axle Bracket Kit, $230 – Black Steel wheels (I would run some wheel adapters up front so I wouldn't have to buy new wheels), and $80 - Rear Axle Bearings and Seals Kit. I can lock it and regear it for about the same price as the Iron Dana 44.

The only thing I've bought for the rear axle so far is a Riddler Diff Cover which I can resell to someone. Everything else has been for the front axle.

Sounds good to me, but I'm sure as hell not an axle guru.

save some green. The 44a should hold up to 35s pretty well. Worst case scenario you end up breakin stuff a bunch and have to do an axle swap a couple years down the road. How much strength gain is there from the 44a to a LP waggy 44 anyway? I wouldnt think its that drastic
