Even against the blue, you guys like the black? I am looking at some Cragers and will pick up black if I do go with black plastics or silver if I go with silver plastics. But the rims will be a little while.

I was looking at the silver plastics just to be a little different than everyone else and lighten up the colors on the Jeep a little. I don't know, still up in the air. It's not like this is an expensive upgrade so if I dont like it, I can always paint over it.

That does look good on yours. I just used what everyone recommended on here, the Krylon Fusion. Was really easy to do, but I need to touch up a few spots and add a coat. I am happy with it

What wheels are those and what size are they? If they are 15" did you have any issue with the calipers rubbing? I am looking to throw on a similar wheel here pretty soon.

Well, its been a little while since an update.

I just traded in my Blue WJ for 2002 WJ Laredo. Its white and has everything but the AZO and heated seats. They are leather, just not heated.

Pics will be up later today as I didnt get home with her last night until it was too dark to take any.

Immediate plans. I have my 4" RC x-series lift being delivered today. Already have my new wheels and tires, they just need to be mounted. Here are pics of those.

16x8 5" bs Black Rock Lobos

And treadwright MTRs 265/70/16

More pics of new jeep and lift coming later!

Okay, finally got around to updating. I did trade in the blue 2000 4.slo on a 2002 4.7. I didn't take any stocker pics...we have all seen what a stocker looks like. I got right down to business with the 4 inch rough country x-series lift which I installed two days after I brought her home

Doing all the work by myself, I didnt take any pics of the process. But here is the end result. I had to take the bumper cover off because is sat right on my tires.

I have since painted the the grill black and white, and painted/trimmed the bumpers and cladding black.

Posing next to a random Overland:

Posing next to my sisters stocker 2000 ltd:

More to come.

Planned projects for the very near future:
Fix the cruise control.
RandR Transfer case with a 242hd. (My 247 doesnt work. Tried fresh fluid...nothing. So Im tossing it for a 242)
Wheel the piss out of it!

Last weekend I finally got around to swapping out my 247 for a 242. I couldnt find a 242HD for less than $500 around me, so I opted for a 242j from a 4.0. All I had to do was swap the input shafts and front yoke. Got her up and oooops, my drive shaft was a touch too long. So I tried a drive shaft from a 4.0 and that was a little short. It fits, but the boot was stretched really far. So, I did a flex test and determined the shaft has plenty of room to move around on the splines while flexed so Im not worried about it falling off. I had a boot from an old set of shocks so I zipped tied that up there, and she is good to go.

I also did the zj washer bottle swap. But have no pics of that yet.

Then last night I was bored and decided to wire up the Hella 500's I got for christmas. Got them mounted today and here are some pics of how she stands today.

Nice.

Looks good. Do you have any problems with the wheels or tires clearing the calipers or any rubbing? I bought 16x8 Cragar Soft 8s with 5" backspacing, but I didn't even buy tires because I was told that 16x8s with 5" backspacing wouldn't clear the brake calipers. But it seems to look good on yours. Tires I was planning on buying are 265/70/16 A/Ts. I also bought a 2" Daystar BB coil spring kit.
