took this pic tonight for ya
![]() no vice grips holding up my struts ![]() started to set my 44a pinion bearing preload but am starting to take chunks off the nut because my socket is too thick and as it gets closer to the base of the yoke its only grabbing at the top of the pinion nut. so Im thinking ill have to grind some off of it tomorrow (the socket). oh and 400 ft/lbs is A LOT! gotta use some extra pipes for more leverage.

havnt tested it yet. and still dont have my entire interior back together so it would be hard to tell.
Also, I got Fatmat, not dynamat. just as good, but a lot cheaper.

Alright. I'm curious to see how much it helped. I plan to do it in the future, just haven't seen a ZJ's with it. Yea I've heard of fatmat and how it does the job just as good.

I cant wait to get this done. My latch is is garbage so the door dosent tighten correctly or open. And since the latch is broke I have the panel off which just amplifies all of the rattles. So between all that it drives me fckin insane! ugh!

First off, have a clue what your talking about before saying stuff. Actually I'm doing it right, you can think what you want. I talked to greg (superjeep on sf) who has rebuild 150+ rearends. He says he's done that before numerous time.
And yes it takes 400 ft/lbs, I've read that numerous times from numerous sources and greg confirmed that toi me yesterdat whe I called him up. I'm not using a torque wrench. I wouldn't even know where to find a torque wrench that measures that high. I have used the crap out of that pipe wrench in the past and it was its time. 400ft/lbs is A LOT.
