-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

after my first wax about 2 weeks after i got it

then about 2 months later i did my first mod, i made my own CAI

then christmas came around, i fixed my rear wiper motor, and got a bunch of blue halogen bulbs to put all around the interior and 2 leds... BAD IDEA on the halogen bulbs. they sucked. but heres a pic of the leds

THEN i tinted my tails and my jeep started getting some attention

and right after a wax

then spring 07 came around and life got awesome.
took my jeep through a grass field around 20mph throwin mud, and watched a stuck bmw x3 owner just stare in awe. it was priceless.

then a cop decided he didnt like my taillights and pulled me over (after having plenty of cops behind me before him) and my mom made me take the tint off i was very unhappy

june of 07 comes around, offroad with my friend a bit and retinted my tails just not nearly as much this time..and never liked the way they looked this time

then summer of 07 mods started hopping
first was some new brakes. EBC green stuff 7000 series pads, and the gd906 rotors

then nash sent me 2 boxes full of goodies :) (thanks again man)
before:

after:

and this

then i bent 3 of my stock rims...dont ask ... and got some cragars

now that the gold rims were gone, some friends decided it was time to debadge my jeep right as i pulled up to their house one day.. and i agreed.

sept and nov went by with nothing done to my jeep, then december a friend and i went offroading and got stuck..$170 and 2 big F650 16ton tow trucks later and i got pulled out. my friend however wasnt as bad as i was and somebody was able to pull him out but not me

my 4lo wouldnt engage and i was backing out of an area i had just gone through cuz i had to take my ex home.. ended up digging myself in good. the mud was over my center caps in that pic but u cant tell. and i was bigtime high center..no lift..street tires.. interesting couple days trying to get it out lol

#4 ·
then came new years day 08 and i swapped in a taurus fan. mounted in my stock fan shroud

then got a 2" RE BB for my birthday... stock tires

then right after that i had a horrible fan belt squeak.. first replaced the idler pulley, the the powersteering pump, pulley, and bracket as i realized the pump and bracket were bad and did some preventative maintenence.
turned out it was just a fan belt, so i got one at the dealer that i knew was the right size...

about 2-3 weeks go by and i get hooked up with a free set o 245/75/16 liberator ats from a friend giving them away

about a month later i got them mounted
and flexxed them out

went through a couple lonely months that winter.. just casually worked on my jeep. didnt really do any mods until the summer came.

cool pic

high school graduation hit and the money came so i started modding more

first off, hids

they were aimed up in this pic cuz thats how the housings were aimed before when i had the silver stars

next i bought a d44a factory traclock from a mmber over on mallcrawlin for $165 shipped

then bought a traclock clutch rebuild kit and d44a rebuild kit. none of this has been installed yet however

next was an addco front sway bar

then i mounted some roofrack lights

wasnt crazy about the 2 sets of different lights but it would do for the time being

then got my kor radiator support

before i trimmed

got a 242 out of a 96 zj and driveshaft and shift gate at the junkyard for $60 on half off day

got some 32x11.5x15 dayton timberland A/Ts.. just need some new cragars for them

then got a pioneer deck form a member of ju for $115 shipped, and painted my woodgrain

went to a friends house to install my lsd ( about 60 miles away and he was/is still gonna do it for free!) but didnt have an axle housing spreader (didnt know wed need it) but still got to offroad

on 3 tires. real worried i was gonna roll. 3 people had to pull me down
another pic

sept 08 hit and it was time to head to OSU but i still came home a couple times before christmas break to work on my jeep, and lift my friend xj..

tinted my tails again, put the coats on thinner this time tho so the light output is much better

christmas 08 hit and was good to the jeep

summit sent the wrong tip
3" iro tailpipe
3" magnaflow high flow cat
3" super 44

redid my lights, got the crappy halogens out replaced with leds

got a cobra 19 and mounted it between the driver side chair and the center consule

got 2 more hella ff50s to match my other 2. moved the fogs to the back as reverse lights

no pics of them lit :(
reverse lights

oh, and my new plates

my exhaust is about half on. itsgonna get finished next weekend, and my 242 hassal will be finished next weekend too and my jeep will be driveable again.

thanks
we got the muffler and cat welded on last weekend, and got to listen to it. its REAL loud and deep. louder than it was with the stock muffler cut off and jsut exiting the cat. but when i get the tailpipe on this coming weekend it should clean up the sound a little bit and make it sound better. ill definitely get some vids up ;)

Lookin good man, nice job. Get yourself some smoked license plate covers to go with the tinted tails, it would go good with the smoked look!
ah forgot to add that pic.

got one on the front, but i believe its an ohio law that u cant have an cover on the rear plates accept for clear :( otherwise id cover the rear too

nice dude, I like the look. It might look good if you get a silver stripe on there or take off that gold one (not a gold fan lol) I dig the gauges
i hate that gold stripe. it was nice when i had my badges and the stock gold rims, but now it looks bad. problem is, its painted on, then has a clear over it... but i competely agree with you man...one of these days.

Looks good, Keep it up. Rule is that you have to do a modification weekely to be able to have a build thread.
hmm i might be able to do that ;)

Hey that's what I did! I think I remember you asking about what you needed...glad you got it man!

Your ZJ is cool.
thanks man. yeah i got that idea from you and i remember pming you about details and bolt sizes and stuff. it works great right there

I want to get my black ltd now... :-(
shutup u might be getting a 5.9!

#15 ·
On my black limited I had a white stripe painted on with clear over it, but then someone hit my door and the body shop put a silver stripe over the white when they fixed the door. Looks way better now and it is just the roll-on pinstriping. Just an idea....

#20 ·
Alright, we already know im setting up for a TERRIBLE disappointment with my luck. I doubt it'll be there by the time my mom goes down in two weeks to try and get it.

On that note, anyone in TX near San Antonio wanna buy a Jeep and hold it for two weeks if they get the cash transferred? lol.

#22 ·
Great thread! Personally, I am not a big fan of the smoked taillights. Blacked out trim, black wheels, and blacked out taillights leave you with no contrast what-so-ever. But its your Jeep and its the way you like it!!

Will you post up more pics of the painted wood trim?? What process did you use??

#23 ·
yeah i came to realize i had next to no contrast one day so i did thought of some things i could do.

i put the chrome center caps on, and im thinking next set of tires i put on i might put white wall out
what do you guys think?

oh and for the woodgrain, i used rustoleum auto primer (yeah i know, rustoleum on plastic, kinda weird but it works great), then a couple coats of krylon fusion black (LOVE that stuff).
whenever i get a chance im gonna start swapping out the rest of the woodgrain for the parts i have painted black.

i need to put my entire interior back together and get shots of all the pieces iv painted.
ill take some pics of the pieces i have painted but not installed yet this weekend when i go home

#28 ·
thanks man. id have to say they pretty decent brakes. theyv saved my *** a couple times where stockers wouldnt.
theyr especially good when heated up. they bite pretty nicely as well.

im gonna do the wj brake swap soon as well. ah knew i was forgetting something
iv got a pair of WJ knuckles in my garage right now.
i just need the hub spacers, calipers, rotors and pads and ill be good for the swap.

Nice Jeep man!
thanks man :)

clip of my exhaust

i dont have the taipipe installed yet, nor did i have my rear o2 sensor on yet
so all that is on is my 3" magnaflow cat and my super 44
my throttle cable came off the piece it is supposed to rest on so there was alot of slack and my pedal was very stiff and i coldnt rev it that easily so the video isnt that great. i found this out afterwards and fixed it. ill get a better vid this weekend, and one on whenever i get the tailpipe on

so heres a little teaser :)

http://s390.photobucket.com/player....44/AnnzAlbum/Jeep/DSCF6096.flv&fs=1&os=1&ap=1

and yes that blue is coming from my HIDs :D

edit:
the slack in the cable really makes the revs sound horrible. i could only rev it up to like 3k... i just watched the vid again. this is a terrible video and doesnt really capture the true exhaust note.
im taking another one ASAP.

#32 ·
I think I like your choice of gum! lol

and yeah you have a damm good rig on your hands. Good balance between performance and looks. keep it up

btw sick exhaust... sounds sick!

#35 ·
lol thanks man.
i gotta get the muffler replaced...long story short i was told the wrong muffler orientation by IRO so im getting a new 44 from them, then the exhaust shop will weld up my tailpipe this friday and itll be done.
ill take a better vid once its all done

Careful, with all that black, your Jeep will turn emo.
i lol'd at this one :rofl::rofl:

then he could have a
