got em through DDM tuning. They are on slight backorder though. The harness came with my 9007 kit, which is why I was surprised. It's like a direct 12v power harness.

So how would you gauge the difficulty of the gear job? I'm on the fence whether I could tackle it myself or not. Not having to spend the big chunk of change to have a shop do it would really be nice. I mean I know the whole idea and have a general grasp of how everything should look when setup, but having a shop do it would put my mind at ease. So thats why I'm kind of torn between the two right now.

Its definitely doable. just read a lot of write ups and take your time and take notes when you try different shim combos. It really wasnt all that bad. yeah having a shop doing it puts your mind at ease, but I really couldn't justify coughing up the $700 when I could do it myself.

Here was my idea going into the entire process. Let me try this myself, if i cant get a good pattern, ill take it to a shop. Sure enough I got a good pattern. Id recommend atleast trying it yourself first if youre on the fence.

If you want I can send you a bunch of links to writeups I used. and Eventually I was going to maybe make a mini writeup or something myself, including some little things that other writeups dont include.

Yea, I've really thought about doing it myself. I have read a few write ups. The ones I can remember off the top of my head were from RockFrogs and Pirate4x4. If you got anymore good write ups, post them in my build thread or get them to me over facebook and I'll favorite them in my browser from there. Saving around $700 sounds really appealing. Would also give me the opportunity to paint the axles up with some Chassis Saver.

John, you wanna take some more pics of the inside of the rear hatch? I am getting ready to rebuild the innards of mine and plan to line it with some sort of matting as well. I'm just curious to see how you laid it down. If you have pics somewhere else in this build thread my bad, haven't had a chance to look through the whole thing...
