What about a refund? Do you think a refund will be granted if we don't want to wait that long? I'm pissed! I was not informed they were in back order when I places my order. A heads up would've been great. I have waited calmly but come on 4/20 is a long wait for me. Never again.

I was not informed of the backorder situation either. Bilstein completely went back on their word and delayed the shipment to everyone in the USA.

No one has any - I've tried everywhere, even places like Amazon, Summit, you name it.

My vendor is the largest Bilstein distributor in the USA. They have 150 of the WJ rear shocks on order and 30 of them are presold to me to fill my orders. They're in the same boat - at the mercy of Bilstein.

There's not a good second choice - they make the best shock for our Jeeps and I think it's worth waiting for.

I was hoping that if customers called them they'd hurry it along. That's why I shared that information about their contact information.

If you really need something right away, PM me your phone number and I'll call you to chat about alternatives.

You're only a couple more weeks away, I would definitely wait it out. Believe the hype, these are the best you can get for your WJ (I've tried 3 other brands).

That sucks. Trying to be patient but if they ship on 4/20 (which I'm having a hard time trusting at this point) I may not get them until 4/27. The problem aside from the 1.5 months I'll have to wait for them by then is that I might not even be at my house when they show up.

Very frustrating! Not beating on Kolak, seems like he got hosed too, but jeez, this is pretty messed up.

I had originally ordered a set of MX6 Pro Comps due to a rediculously good price, even bettered Kolak's price by a considerable amount. That dealer then managed to completely stuff up the order and it took a week from paying for the order to finding out they stuffed it up, then another week to get the refund from them. That was back in early February.
I then ordered the Bilsteins through Nick due to the great service and prices he has had for many other people.
The best price I can find in Australia for the Bilsteins is $249aud each for the Heavy Duty shocks, not even the 5100 series.
I don't care if it takes a little longer for them to arrive, even though my springs have been sittting in the garage since the first week of February. I know it's not the vendors fault that he has been led up the garden path by the manufacturer.
Lets all phone, email harass the manufacturer about their slow process. If we all call and leave a message everyother day as well as sending a daily email, pretty soon they will work out that we are passionate about our vehicles!
Funny thing is we ALL drive Jeeps and are used to having to have a little more patience than some other brands. But we get the extra fun out of our vehicles!
Thanks Nick for all your help!
Cheers
Tim

I like where this is going! Bilstein needs to hear more from the actual end-user rather than just the distributors and vendors.

Is that for stock, or 2" lift, or 4" lift?

That's the one that is correct for 2-3" of lift.

4" lift shocks are not on backorder.
