It's a sad thing having to say that your 8 cylinder gets better gas mileage than my 6. I know it's a more efficient engine that doesn't have to work as hard to pull the heep, but seriously, a V8 beating an I6 in gas mileage..

gives them darn Prius drivers something to think about

Since we're all one happy GC family now:

Over 4 hours from Dallas to San Antonio:

5.7 Liter Hemi with 32" tires. I'll probably never see that kind of mileage again.

i got 21 average on the high way coming back from dwight IL to kankakee IL, that was with cruise on and no traffic, i never touched the brakes until i got back into town.

i also reset it once i was up to speed , not from a standstill. that would have lowered it.

2001 wj / 4.7l 92,000 miles.

For about twp week last year I commuted to an office location that was 50 miles from home. I was driving at about 4:30-5:30 am and going home at about 7pm (so not much traffic). I stayed on roads that had 50 mph speed limits because of the lack of a good highway route.

I got 22.6 mpgs that tank!

I normally average about 18. which is great for driving around town as much as i do.

The last several year's we've driven from Northeast Ohio to Daytona, Florida we have gotten about 21 mpg in the WJ(4.7L HO) and my parents just took my ZJ(5.2L) down this year and it got 19.5mpg I guess.

i can only get up to 16 if I try real hard, but i do lots of mountain driving, up and down and up and down... takes a lot of power to remain at speed
