If you are a member on pirate, the vendors always have some sort of special going on with fox coilovers. FOA burnt down, so they are out for a while.

It's alright. They definitely need another latch design on there. The carrier rattles like crazy. I probably wouldn't trust the carrier with anything over a 32" tire. The stresses from my stock sized spare has started to make some hairline cracks in the welds. I imagine most of the welds have poor penetration.

I like the front, not to fond of the rear.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep an eye out for some deals.

Yea, but when you got light output like this...

...I think it justifies the price. For me at least.

Just got off the phone with Essentially Offroad and talked about what I wanted to do. Quoted me a price of $5k for labor and the cost of the coilovers. Said they'd have to fab up a small cage in the rear to mount the coilovers. I mean I figured I would just bolt them to where the stock shocks go. Don't know though. I'm kind of wanting to keep the inside mostly intact and cut free...aside from the gas tank lift.

The stock shock mounts won't be strong enough to hold the weight of the jeep. You don't have to go through the floor. Look at Saturns new build. Seems high to me but you do want expensive coilovers

Yea, I just took a look over at Saturns thread to see what he did. I guess its just a beefed up section where the stock shocks would go. I certainly don't think a mini cage is needed for what I would be doing. I'm not looking for insane up/down travel or anything.

$5k did seem like a bit much, but I gather that was for labor, coilovers, setting up gears/lockers...basically everything.

I still need to get in touch with that Hudlow Axle place.

Might want to make sure it everything. Most places do labor cost then add parts. Did they know what kind of coilovers you want and sizes?

Yea, I'll probably call again soon and get a more detailed overview of what would get done. But I could have swore he said that was in the $5k total. All he asked was if I had the coilovers yet. That was it.

What helps them is sending them pictures of how others have done it. They probably have never done a wj since they are a premier buggy shop. Anything to give them a better idea is good.
